Limit Breaker – Episode 6: Trial by Fire

Limit Breaker – Episode 6: Trial by Fire

Training Begins

The Rank C heroes stood in a large combat arena, facing their mentor, Thunder Lord. The air crackled with his electrical energy as he paced in front of them.

"Listen up, rookies," he said. "You passed the exam, but that doesn't mean you’re ready for real hero work. Today, we’re gonna break you down and rebuild you."

He clapped his hands, and the floor panels shifted. Robotic dummies, combat drones, and obstacle courses rose from the ground.

"Your first task: Survive."

Training Drills

1. Combat Training (One-on-One Fights)

Ryo (Limit Breaker) vs. Strike Ace

Ryo charged in, but Goro’s baseballs exploded on impact, sending him flying.

Ryo adapted, dodging a fastball and landing a heavy punch that shattered Goro’s bat.

"Damn, dude!" Goro grinned. "Guess I need a stronger bat."

Jin (Flash Striker) vs. Blade Phantom

Jin’s speed clashed with Tetsuya’s precision.

Jin barely dodged a sword strike, but landed a rapid flurry of punches to Tetsuya’s gut.

Tetsuya smirked. "Not bad… but not enough." He countered with a shockwave slash, knocking Jin down.

Shin (Mindhack) vs. Mystica

Shin struggled as Mystica vanished into illusions.

Using his high IQ, he predicted her movements and set up a trap using a smoke grenade.

She reappeared, coughing, and he tagged her with a stun device. "Checkmate."

Thunder Lord nodded. "Not bad. But in real battles, it won’t be this easy."

2. Agility & Survival Course

A high-speed gauntlet with moving platforms, laser traps, and drones firing stun blasts.

Jin finished first, dashing past obstacles effortlessly.

Ryo bulldozed through traps, taking damage but refusing to stop.

Shin analyzed patterns and moved carefully, avoiding all hits.

First Mission: Urban Hostage Crisis

Just as training wrapped up, an alarm blared.

A distressed voice came through the speakers.

"We have a hostage situation at Metro Mall! Armed villains have taken control!"

Thunder Lord smirked. "Well, rookies, looks like you're getting thrown into the real deal."

The Rank C heroes rushed out, their first mission just beginning.

Limit Breaker – Episode 7: The Nightmare Named Gouro

The Hostage Crisis – Ryo and Strike Ace Step In

Ryo and Strike Ace arrived at Metro Mall, the scene of the crisis. Hostages were held inside a bank on the third floor, and armed villains patrolled the halls.

Ryo bulldozed through the entrance, shattering a villain’s gun with a single punch.

Strike Ace positioned himself at a distance, launching explosive baseballs that knocked out multiple enemies.

Within minutes, the two had wiped out every villain in the building. The hostages were safe.

Just as Ryo cracked his knuckles, thinking the job was done…

BOOM.

The entire mall shook. The ceiling above them collapsed, and a man stepped through the dust.

The Monster Named Gouro

A tall, muscular figure with green hair, metal plates embedded in his skin, and a white martial arts gi walked toward them.

Gouro.

His piercing yellow eyes locked onto Ryo and Strike Ace. He rolled his shoulders, letting out a deep chuckle.

"So, these are the new ‘heroes’ of this city?" His voice was cold, filled with amusement. "Disappointing."

Without warning, he moved.

In a blink, he kicked Ryo through three walls.

Ryo vs. Gouro – A Hopeless Battle

Ryo staggered up, shaking off the debris. "Tch… not bad."

He charged at Gouro, unleashing a powerful punch.

Gouro caught it with two fingers.

With a smirk, he twisted Ryo’s arm and slammed him headfirst into the floor.

Ryo tried to fight back, throwing a desperate barrage of punches, but Gouro dodged them effortlessly.

Then, Gouro countered.

A single elbow strike to Ryo’s ribs—bones shattered instantly.

A palm strike to the chest—Ryo coughed blood and fell to his knees.

Ryo was completely outclassed.

Strike Ace’s Last Stand

Seeing Ryo down, Strike Ace gritted his teeth.

He grabbed a high-impact explosive ball.

"You might be strong, but can you dodge this?!"

He swung his bat, launching the ball straight at Gouro’s face.

Gouro caught it with his teeth.

Then, he crushed it.

Before Strike Ace could react, Gouro appeared in front of him and delivered a brutal knee to the stomach.

CRACK. Strike Ace spat blood and collapsed.

The Arrival of Metal Man (S-Class Hero)

Just as Gouro was about to finish them off—

A heavy metallic sound echoed through the mall.

A tall man, covered in full-body silver armor, stepped forward. His massive steel bat rested on his shoulder.

Metal Man – The Iron Hero.

His deep voice rang out. "That’s enough, punk."

Gouro tilted his head. "Oh? An S-Class? Finally, someone interesting."

Metal Man vs. Gouro – The Death of a Hero

Metal Man attacked first, swinging his titanium bat with immense force.

The impact sent shockwaves through the mall, shattering the floor.

Gouro blocked the bat with his bare hand.

Then—he laughed.

"You hit hard. But not hard enough."

Gouro grabbed the bat mid-swing and snapped it in half.

Metal Man’s eyes widened.

Gouro moved.

A devastating punch to Metal Man’s stomach.

Armor cracked. Blood spilled.

Another punch—this time to the head.

The metal helmet bent inward.

Metal Man staggered, barely standing.

Gouro grinned. "You’re already dead."

Final attack – The Skull Shatterer.

Gouro leaped into the air.

He axe-kicked Metal Man’s head with full force.

The helmet exploded.

His skull split open.

Metal Man fell lifelessly to the ground.

Ryo’s Horror

Ryo, barely conscious, watched in shock.

An S-Class hero, someone he admired, just got slaughtered.

Gouro turned toward Ryo. "You’re next."

Ryo tried to move.

His body refused.

Was this… the end?
