The sound of crunching cereal filled the dimly lit apartment. Ryo Takeda sat on his worn-out couch, a half-empty bowl of cereal in one hand, remote in the other. His eyes were locked onto the TV screen, where the legendary hero Manga Man was effortlessly saving the city from a monstrous, fire-breathing kaiju.

"Justice always wins!" Manga Man declared, striking a ridiculous pose as the defeated monster collapsed. His hero ranking flashed on the screen:

Ryo exhaled. “Tch. B-Class, huh? Even with all that power?” He lazily scooped another spoonful of cereal into his mouth.

Across the room, his best friend, Daigo Asuka, stood with his arms crossed. Unlike Ryo, Daigo actually had motivation. His cybernetic arm whirred as he adjusted the flames flickering from his robotic hand.

"You’re seriously just sitting here?" Daigo scowled. "The superhero tryouts are tomorrow, and you’re still watching TV like some retired old man!"

Ryo shrugged. “Too much effort.”

Daigo’s mechanical eye flickered red in frustration. "That’s it. I’m signing both of us up. No backing out."

Ryo groaned. He knew there was no stopping Daigo once he made up his mind.

The next day, at the Superhero Registration Center, both of them stood in line, surrounded by wannabe heroes. When it was finally their turn, they filled out their registration forms:

As Ryo handed in his form, he sighed. “Well, I guess I’m doing this now.”

Daigo smirked, flames sparking from his fingers. “Damn right you are. Time to see if you’ve got what it takes.”

And just like that, the first step toward becoming a hero had been taken.

Limit Breaker – Episode 2: The Hero Tryouts Begin!

The Superhero Tryouts were held in a massive training facility, packed with eager participants hoping to prove their worth. Ryo Takeda and Daigo Asuka stood among them, waiting for their turn.

"Man, why am I even here?" Ryo groaned, stretching his arms.

Daigo rolled his eyes. "Because if you’re not gonna use your strength, I’ll make sure you do."

Just then, two other applicants approached them.

One was a lean, athletic guy with silver hair tied in a short ponytail, tapping his foot rapidly against the ground. “Yo! Name’s Jin Arashi, hero alias Flash Striker. Fastest guy in this whole damn place.”

Next to him stood a guy with glasses and a confident smirk. He had no visible powers, but there was a sharpness in his gaze. “And I’m Shin Kisaragi, hero alias Mindhack. No super strength, no speed, but I’ve got a brain that makes up for it.”

Daigo smirked. “Interesting. Let’s see if you two can actually back up those names.”

The Physical Test – 5 Challenges

1️⃣ Strength Test (Max Score: 10 points)

Contestants had to punch a reinforced machine to measure their raw strength.

Ryo: He casually threw a lazy punch… and accidentally shattered the machine. (Score: 10/10)

Storm Witch smirked. “Let’s see if he actually wants to be a hero… or if he’s just here for the ride.”
