Chapter five

Anna looked really confused.

"What does she mean take a basket?" She asked but Arina and Stepasha just shrugged.

Anna suddenly saw a big pile of baskets.

"Maybe we don’t know what they are for, but let’s go take them!"

As the friends walked to get the baskets, they heard some commotion behind them.

"Out of my way!" Somebody yelled.

Anna looked back. She immediately saw the person who said those words. It was obvious.

A meter away from Anna, Arina, and Stepasha stood a girl and a boy.

"Out of my way didn’t you hear?" She said again.

Anna heard some whispers.

"I heard that is Yevgheniya Bondarenko… she is super scary and her parents are rich "

"My mom said it would be good if I made friends with her but she is mean! No one wants to be friends with mean people…."

"She told me that my red hair is super ugly… how could she say that when mine is not even half that red as hers?"

Anna looked at the girl.

She had long wavy red hair and bright green eyes. She wore the black dress (the school didn’t have a uniform but all girls had to wear a black dress and all boys had to wear a black T-Shirt or jacket and jeans) and she had a green hairband matching her eyes.

Yevgheniya Bondarenko was rumored to be a daughter of some mafia boss. That is the reason everyone was told to become friends with her.

Yevgheniya pushed her way through the crowd of students. She didn’t seem to mind that some looked angrily at her and others even said some swear words.

She suddenly stopped as she saw the trio.

"Well hello." She said. "What’s your name"

"My name is Anna" Anna replied.

"Wanna be friends?" Yevgheniya asked hopefully.

"No. Why in the world would I?"

Yevgheniya looked a bit confused. She was used that no one denied her friendship requests. She was a bit angry. She swept back her hair and walked arrownd Anna. Now she didn’t care at all.

"Well that was weird…" Arina said with slight anger. "She didn’t even ask wat's our names!”

"Don’t mind her girls. She is just a regular bully I guess." Stepasha said with a sigh. "I thought we were supposed to grab baskets"

"OMG that’s right! Let’s go guys!" Arina exclaimed and basically dragged Anna and Stepasha behind her.

Anna, Arina, and Stepasha stood on the school yard with baskets. No one told them what to do. They were swept out of the school with the crowd and suddenly found themselves not in the school grounds but outside the gates. One of the teachers yelled:

"New kids just go to the village with the others and watch the older kids!"

"Come on! " Arina sounded very excited. "Hurry up!"

Anna looked around and not far away from the school stood a pretty big village. She sighed with joy. She knew that there were loads adventures in her near future.
