Chapter two

Ukraine, Chernihiv, 1984, September 1, the first day of school.

“Wake up wake up wake up! It’s time to go!”

Anna opened her eyes. She saw Liam.

“Anna! You are awake finally! First day of school!”

Anna sat on her bed. Right… first day of school…. she waited so long. Together with Liam, who was younger for a year. He wanted to go to school even more than her.

“Okay Liam we have to brush our teeth and wash our face. Then we can go downstairs and eat!”

She and Liam went to the bathroom and washed their faces. Brushed their teeth. Anna looked at the mirror.

There she saw herself. 10 year old Anna Smith with long brown hair, brown eyes, in the black school uniform, and her white hairband.

“Anna let’s go! We still have to eat remember! Hurry up!”

Liam was even more exited then Anna. He was too young to go to school. He had to wait one more year.

...*ten minutes later*...

“Anna, Anna are you done?! Hurry up let’s go!!!”

“Liam why are you so exited? You are not even going to school.” Anna muttered.

Liam pretended not to hear what Anna said. “Mooooom can I pleaaase go this year? Pleaaase mommyyy!” He begged.

“No. You will go next year. The only person who should be begging and complaining is Tom. He will only be able to go after three years. You should not be that sad.”

Liam sighed. “That’s right mom. But still I want to go so badly!”

Anna hugged her brother. “Don’t worry you can always come on the weekends or holidays!”

Anna hugged her mother.

Her 6 year old little brother jumped on her. “Anna I will miss you so much! Me and Liam will come to your school on the Christmas holiday!” He exclaimed.

“Aww I will mis you too my sweet little brothers!” Anna smiled.

“Bye mom! Don’t worry no need to bring me to school. I’ll just teleport.” She replied to her mom’s confused glaze.

“Alright sweetheart see you on summer. Don’t forget to send a letter sometime.”

The thing is Anna’s family wasn’t regular. They knew a lot of magic. Ever since the birth of a new family member they were teached magic by their older siblings, parents, grandparent, etc. Normally by the age of four the kids knew how to teleport and by the age of seven they could change their look however they pleased. Anna could also do that.

Sadly Anna’s mom suffered from a huge depression after Arabella ran away. It was too much for her. She lost a lot of her memory and kept losing it. Because of that she forgot about Arabella and now believed that Anna is her oldest daughter. But she is stil sometimes thrown in depression and usually didn’t know the true reason of it.

In a moment Anna was already at the train station. It was really big and larger then Anna expected. She could already tell it would be a fun year.
