Charryville Academy – Episode 11: Choosing Their Future

Charryville Academy – Episode 11: Choosing Their Future

Year 10 is an important year at Charryville Academy because students must choose their academic paths—either Science, Arts, or Social Science. The decision will determine their future careers and studies in senior secondary school.

Choosing Courses

The students sit in class as Mr. Felix, their chilled and stylish class teacher, explains the different courses:

Science – For students interested in medicine, engineering, technology, or other technical fields.

Arts – For students interested in literature, history, law, or creative fields.

Social Science – For students who enjoy government, business, or economics.

Who Chooses What?

David, Benjamin, Jannesa, and Ryan all choose Science. They believe science will give them more career opportunities.

Benjamin and David plan to study medicine.

Jannesa says she likes science, but everyone thinks she just wants to stay in the same class as David.

Ryan is interested in technology and engineering.

Chima and Sphoie also choose Science because of their intelligence and love for research.

Osun and Rumen choose Social Science, though Rumen is not sure why.

Chidma and Isabella choose Arts because they enjoy literature and history.

The Royal Bloodline of Benin

It is revealed that three students in Year 10 come from the Royal Family of Benin:

Benjamin – The direct descendant of Oba Ewuare II.

His father is closely related to Oba Ewuare II; they were born as brothers in the royal bloodline.

This means Benjamin is a prince by blood, though he has never acted superior to others.

His family keeps a strong connection to Benin traditions and heritage.

Rumen – From another royal branch of the family. His grandfather was a chief in Benin, making him royalty but not in direct line to the throne.

Mercy – A new student in Year 10, also from the royal family.

Her family is wealthy and respected, and she carries herself with elegance.

She later becomes close friends with Jannesa and Chidma.

When the class finds out about Benjamin’s direct royal connection, they are shocked, and some students begin treating him with more respect, but Benjamin insists he is still the same person.

Class Teacher & Subjects

The new class teacher for Year 10 is Mr. Adewale, who teaches Biology and Chemistry.

Mr. Adewale is strict but also friendly, making science lessons fun.

He often uses practical experiments to explain topics.

He encourages students to take their subjects seriously because they will soon prepare for external exams.

Surprise Party for Mr. Malcom

The students plan a surprise party for Mr. Malcom, their former Year 8 teacher, to thank him for his impact on their lives.

Chima and Sphoie organize the party, booking a hall in school.

David and Benjamin collect money from students to buy gifts.

Jannesa and Mercy handle decorations.

Ryan and Jason set up a sound system for music.

Osun and Rumen are put in charge of food (but everyone watches them to make sure they don’t eat too much before the party).

What Happens Next?

Will Mr. Malcom be surprised?

How will Benjamin handle being a known royal prince?

Will Jannesa finally confess her feelings to David?

Year 10 is just beginning, and more drama and excitement await at Charryville Academy.
