episode 17

As the golden glow of their Primal Instinct forms faded, the Saiyans stood silently, taking in the aftermath of their fierce battle. The air was still thick with residual energy, but the planet had begun to calm, as if acknowledging the victory of its newfound protectors.

Broly, still adjusting to the control he felt over his immense power, looked up at the sky, now clearing from the darkness Zathor had brought. “It’s strange,” he said quietly, “I don’t feel the same rage anymore. There’s peace, like I’m in balance with everything.”

Goku nodded, still buzzing from the energy flowing through him. “Yeah, this new power isn’t just about fighting—it feels more like… understanding everything around us. The flow of the universe, almost.”

Vegeta remained silent, deep in thought. His pride as the Saiyan Prince had been satisfied, but the realization that there were forces far beyond his comprehension still gnawed at him. They had only just begun to tap into something far greater, and it left a hunger inside him—a need to continue pushing his limits.

As the three Saiyans reflected on the battle, Whis floated over to them, his staff glimmering. “Now that you’ve reached this new level of power, you must understand that maintaining it requires more than strength. The fusion of primal and divine energy demands mental clarity, harmony, and a deeper connection with the universe itself.”

Goku, always eager to learn, tilted his head in curiosity. “So, you’re saying there’s even more to this form?”

Whis smiled. “Indeed. What you’ve unlocked is the foundation of what could become an even greater power. But to truly master it, you must train your minds and spirits. Power without wisdom can lead to ruin. Zathor is a testament to that.”

Vegeta scoffed, still not fully accepting Whis’s words but acknowledging their truth. “Tch. Kakarot and I are always training. What’s the next step?”

Whis’s expression became more serious. “You will need to go beyond training your bodies. The energy you’ve accessed is tied to the very essence of the universe—its flow, its order, and its chaos. The next step in your journey will take you beyond the physical realm.”

Broly, listening carefully, spoke up. “Beyond the physical? What do you mean?”

Whis glanced at Broly, his tone softening. “There are places in the multiverse where time, space, and even reality function differently. To fully understand the power you now possess, you will need to explore these places, face challenges not bound by traditional laws of strength. Only then will you truly master the Primal Instinct.”

Goku’s eyes widened with excitement. “So, we’re gonna be traveling to different dimensions and stuff? That sounds awesome!”

Vegeta crossed his arms, a hint of a smirk on his face. “Hmph. Sounds like another chance to surpass you, Kakarot.”

Before Goku could respond, a sudden ripple in the air caught everyone’s attention. A portal of swirling blue energy appeared in front of them, and from it, a familiar figure stepped through—Beerus, the God of Destruction.

The Saiyans immediately straightened up, sensing the immense power of the deity. Beerus floated down, his gaze calm but stern. “Well, well. It seems you’ve been busy, mortals.”

Goku, as usual, greeted Beerus with a cheerful grin. “Hey, Lord Beerus! Did you come to check out the fight?”

Beerus’s eyes narrowed. “Hardly. I’ve felt a disturbance in the balance of the universe. Zathor’s meddling in the timeline was dangerous enough, but your new power… it has the potential to disrupt the very fabric of reality.”

Vegeta tensed, not liking the implication. “What are you saying, Beerus?”

Beerus crossed his arms, his voice steady but firm. “The Primal Instinct form you’ve unlocked is dangerous. It draws from both primal energy, which is tied to the chaos of the universe, and divine energy, which maintains order. If not handled carefully, it could tear apart the balance that exists between creation and destruction.”

Whis nodded in agreement. “This is why I stressed the need for control. While your battle against Zathor was necessary, the ripple effect from your power could have far-reaching consequences.”

Goku, while listening carefully, couldn’t hide his excitement. “So… you’re saying we’ve unlocked something even stronger than we realized?”

Beerus sighed in frustration. “You’re missing the point, Goku. What you’ve unlocked is not just power—it’s responsibility. If you’re not careful, the gods themselves may have to intervene.”

Vegeta, never one to back down, stepped forward. “So what do you propose, Beerus? Are we supposed to give up this power? Bow down to the gods?”

Beerus’s expression softened, and for a moment, there was a rare glimpse of respect in his eyes. “No, Vegeta. I’m not telling you to give up anything. But you need to understand that this path you’ve chosen has consequences. The gods of the multiverse will be watching you more closely now.”

Whis added, “You will be tested, not just by your enemies but by forces you cannot even comprehend. And should you fail, the consequences could be catastrophic.”

Goku looked up at the sky, a mix of excitement and determination in his eyes. “Well, we’ve never backed down from a challenge before. We’ll figure this out. Together.”

Vegeta smirked, a glint of pride in his eyes. “That’s right. No matter what comes next, we’ll be ready.”

Broly, quieter but no less determined, nodded. “I’ll keep fighting alongside you. No matter where this path takes us.”

Beerus watched them for a moment, then turned to leave. “You may be reckless, but I’ll admit, you Saiyans have always managed to surprise me. Just remember—there’s a fine line between power and destruction.”

With that, Beerus and Whis vanished, leaving the Saiyans to reflect on their next steps.

As the sky returned to its normal state and the energy of the planet settled, the Saiyans stood tall, their bond stronger than ever. They knew their journey was far from over. Beyond the battles they had fought, greater challenges awaited—across dimensions, against gods, and even the very fabric of the universe itself.

But together, they would face whatever came next, determined to protect not just their world, but the multiverse itself.

And as they gazed into the horizon, ready for the next adventure, they knew one thing for certain: their legend was only just beginning.
