A New Beginning –
Bae stretched her arms lazily as the morning sun bathed the room in a golden glow. The soft rustling of the curtains and the distant sounds of the city waking up made everything feel so surreal. She turned to see Bunny lying beside her, his eyes still closed, his breathing slow and steady. A smile tugged at her lips. They were married. Really, truly married. And for the first time, everything felt like a dream she never wanted to wake up from.
As if sensing her gaze, Bunny’s eyes fluttered open, and a lazy smirk spread across his face. “Good morning, Mrs. Bunny.”
Bae chuckled, running her fingers through his messy hair. “That sounds so weird.”
“Better get used to it,” he said, pulling her closer, wrapping his arms around her waist. “Because you’re stuck with me forever.”
She sighed happily against his chest. “Forever doesn’t seem long enough.”
Just then, Bunny’s phone buzzed on the nightstand. He groaned, reaching for it, and as he read the message, his eyes lit up.
“Bae,” he said, turning to her with excitement. “Our visas are approved! We’re leaving for the USA next week.”
Bae’s eyes widened in shock and excitement. “What? So soon?”
Bunny nodded, sitting up. “Yes! The company processed everything faster than expected. Our flight tickets are booked, and we’ll be in New York by next Friday.”
Bae felt a mix of emotions—excitement, nervousness, and a bit of sadness at leaving her home. She had always dreamed of traveling, of seeing the world, but now that it was happening, it felt overwhelming.
Bunny noticed her silence and gently took her hands in his. “Are you okay?” he asked, searching her eyes.
She nodded slowly. “I am. It’s just… I’ll miss home.”
He cupped her face, his thumb caressing her cheek. “I know. But think about it—our new life, just the two of us, exploring a whole new world together. No family drama, no interruptions… just us.”
Bae giggled. “You mean no Riya trying to separate us?”
Bunny rolled his eyes. “Exactly! Now, she’ll have to find someone else to annoy.”
They both burst into laughter, the tension melting away.
The next few days were a whirlwind of packing, farewell dinners, and emotional goodbyes. Bae’s mother-in-law, Meera, had finally started warming up to her, and the thought of leaving her behind made Bae’s heart ache a little.
“Take care of my son,” Meera whispered as she hugged Bae tight at the airport.
“I promise,” Bae said, feeling a lump in her throat.
With one last wave, Bunny and Bae walked toward their gate, fingers intertwined.
As they settled into their seats on the plane, Bunny turned to Bae with a mischievous grin. “Ready for our first international adventure, Mrs. Bunny?”
Bae smiled, squeezing his hand. “With you? Always.”
As the plane took off, carrying them toward their new life, Bae knew one thing for sure—this was just the beginning of a beautiful journey.
