"When seconds count"

"When seconds count"

She was driving along the road when suddenly a police officer pulled her over. She was confused because she hadn't broken any rules.

"Sir, did I do something wrong?" she asked.

"Sorry, ma'am. It's from the upper office. Just wait for a while," the officer replied.

She waited until she saw her husband approaching. She was still mad at him.

Her husband knocked on the window and made a sign for her to lower it. She did, and he said, "What's going on? Really? What do you think you're doing? You can't just pull me over!"

She was furious. "Open the door. Let's talk," he said.

She looked at her husband, unlocked the door, and he got in.

"Where are you going? You didn't even dare to text me?" he asked.

"I'm going to see Mom," she replied.

"Then you should have told me earlier. It's not a big deal. I'm coming. Should I drive?" he asked.

She looked at her husband and said, "No, and you're not coming with me. If you want to come, get your own car!"

"I'm sorry. Don't be mad anymore," he said.

"Fine! I'm sorry too," she replied.

"Get out!" she said.

"Okay, fine. I let things happen once, but there's no next time," he said, and stepped out of the car.

His wife drove away, but suddenly a big truck came speeding around the corner and hit the car. He couldn't function. He had just been talking to his wife a while ago.

He ran to where the car was and saw his wife bleeding and unconscious.

"Call 911!" he yelled.

At the hospital, he was in the waiting area, unable to believe what had just happened. He regretted their fight and wished he hadn't let her drive. He should have insisted they drive together.

The doctor said his wife had serious injuries and had fallen into a coma. She was transferred to a private room, and he watched over her as she lay in bed. He could see the bruises on her body, and he knew she wouldn't want to see herself like that. She always took care of herself and hated scars.

"My wife will be okay. I'm sorry. It's my fault. Please, come back. Wife, my wife." He said and cried watching his wife.

:)

I was having these thoughts on my way to school.

When I want to escape my troubles, I find myself thinking about painful scenarios that would break my heart and make me cry. It's as if I'm seeking a distraction from my real-life problems. After indulging in these painful thoughts, I feel a strange sense of satisfaction. I look at myself in the mirror and say, 'I don't want this to happen.' Then, I change my thought pattern and imagine a different, happier ending. Sometimes, I realize that I'm the one creating my own hurt, and that's a hard truth to face.
