The rooftop felt suspended in time. The city lights flickered below, the helicopter hovered in the air like a frozen frame, and The Silence stood motionless as if caught in a spell.
The air was thick with something unseen—something that trembled on the edge of sound itself.
Jungkook swallowed hard, his heartbeat drumming against his ribs. “What… just happened?”
Yoongi let out a slow breath. “The song is more than we thought.”
Hana stepped forward, her expression guarded. “You said there’s more to it?”
Yoongi nodded. “I don’t know how I know, but… the song was never finished.” His fingers curled as if he could touch the missing notes. “There’s a second part hidden inside it. I felt it when I sang.”
Namjoon frowned. “Hidden how?”
Jungkook took a shaky breath, forcing himself to think. “Music isn’t just sound. It’s… memory. Emotion. Maybe the missing part was erased, buried somewhere only the song itself remembers.”
Hana’s eyes darkened. “Then The Silence really does have something to hide.”
The moment she spoke, the agents moved.
Their frozen state shattered like glass. The helicopter’s blades roared back to life. The shadows shifted unnaturally as the men in black surged toward them.
Hana reacted first.
“Move!” she barked, pulling a small device from her jacket and slamming it to the ground.
A high-pitched pulse erupted from the rooftop, distorting the air around them. The Silence agents stumbled, gripping their heads as if the frequency had pierced through their skulls.
It bought them seconds.
“Down the fire escape!” Hana ordered.
BTS didn’t hesitate. One by one, they jumped over the rooftop edge, grabbing onto the cold metal bars of the emergency ladder. Jungkook’s hands burned as he slid down, his feet hitting the pavement just as a sharp gust of wind signaled the helicopter repositioning above.
Hana landed beside them. “We need to disappear. Now.”
Yoongi glanced at her. “And where exactly do we go?”
She hesitated—just for a second.
Then she looked straight at him.
“To the only place where erased songs still exist.”
Jimin’s breath hitched. “Where?”
Hana’s jaw tightened.
“The Archive of Forgotten Melodies.”
The words sent a shiver through Jungkook’s spine.
The Silence had erased the second half of Moonlit Echo.
And if they wanted to finish it—if they wanted to understand what was hidden inside the music—
They had to find the one place that The Silence never wanted them to reach.
The place where lost music still lived.
And they had to do it before The Silence erased them too.
