"Excuse me? Do what?" I asked. Did I do something wrong?

"Why didn't you get the change?" I didn't expect something like this from him. What did I do wrong? I was helping the cashier girl since it seems like she doesn't have coins.

"It wasn't a big deal to me. Besides, there's a lot of people beside us, waiting for their turn. It will take a lot of time if I insisted on getting the change when she doesn't have coins, right?" I explained but he wasn't satisfied with my reason.

"It wasn't a big deal? Don't you know how important the money is?!" He yelled at me that made people look at us. Why is she yelling?

"Why are you yelling at me? I helped you and that's what I got for return? I just wanted you to say 'thank you'."

"Thank you," he muttered.

"Your welcome," I replied immediately.

He started to walk away so I apologized to the other students on the cafeteria before making my way to the gymnasium. I hope I'm not that late. I didn't even get a chance to read the informations Myne gave me. I feel sorry to her for making her efforts go to waste.

"Ms. Escareal!" I saw Beatrix outside the gymnasium, waving at me. She's really pretty. Maybe the guys on the team really like her. I hope it's the same for me, even though I'm not staying.

"Please drop the 'miss' and just call me Hope," I said when I reached her spot.

"Well, I hope you'll like the team, Hope!" She suddenly reached for my hands and pulled me inside the gymnasium. I was surprised at first and felt uncomfortable but the feeling disappeared. She's very friendly and definitely a nice person.

"Guys, come here. Fatser!" Beatrix shouted and eleven guys gathered up. Almost all of them are tall, maybe it's a requirement on volleyball.

"What's up?" A handsome guy asked. Well, they are all handsome but this one really stood up. His freaking features are freaking outstanding.

They're all looking at me while waiting for Beatrix fo say something. It's like they're judging me by my looks. I hope I made a good first impression.

"Her name is Hope Escareal and she's joining the team as the new manager. Don't be harsh to her when I'm not around anymore. I will really come back here to kick your asses if I heard some news that Hope is being maltreated."

Wow, that was fierce.

"It's a pleasure to meet you," I said while smiling before I bowed a little to show respect and they greeted me back.

I bit my lip and looked around, feeling a little awkward until Beatrix introduced them one by one so I tried to memorize their names instantly.

"You're Hope Escareal? My girlfriend was watching your vlogs yesterday," Owen, the guy from the left said.

"Please say thank you on my behalf--"

"So you found a new manager."

I stiffened when I heard a familiar voice. He had the same reaction when our eyes met. He's the guy from the cafeteria and he's wearing shorts now unlike earlier.

"Sai, you're finally here," Beatrix said but he ignored her.

"You're the new manager?" I looked down for a moment, thinking what should I reply.

"Yes, you're right. You have met already?" Beatrix asked.

"Not really--"

"Why did you apply as the new manager of this team?" He cut me off and looked at me from head to toe like he's investigating me. "It seems like you're a med student, yet you still have time for the volleyball team? And do you even love volleyball, Miss Hope Escereal?"
