I woke up early but I feel like the remaining hours of the day isn't enough. I washed my face before making my own breakfast, a french toast and a cup of coffee to keep my mind awake. I just took a bite since I need to go to the university this early to meet Myne and also to review my lessons. I'll just eat again later if I have some free time, but I guess I won't have any free time.
After brushing my teeth, I took a shower, did my morning skincare and sat in front of my makeup table. When I faced the mirror, my attention went to my right cheek. I smiled a little when I saw my scar. It's been years since I got this from a classmate on elementary but I can still remember what happened on that day clearly.
"Stop it, please!"
He screamed when the bullies were about to hit me before running towards us with a cutter. He pointed the cutter to the bullies, protecting me and swayed the cutter to prevent them from getting near to us.
The next thing I knew, there's a blood running from my right cheek. The bullies ran away and he--
"Hope," I came back to reality when Myne called my name.
"Are you okay?"
"I thougt we're meeting at the university," I said and start putting primer over the scar to conceal uneven texture.
After that, I pat some green-tinted color corrector with my finger. My scar is red so I always use green corrector since green and red are opposite on the color wheel. I applied the concealer next to smooth the texture and then used a fluffy brush to gently tap the translucent powder.
I smiled when I finished concealing my scar. This is my everyday makeup routine that's why I always wake up as early as possible. No one actually knew about me having a scar except for my family and Myne.
"We have an unscheduled group study later so I dropped by to give this to you."
She placed a folder on my study table. Probably, the informations that I need to learn as the volleyball team manager.
"I also included the team players' information. You'll need those," she explained.
"I'm not planning to stay on the team, remember?" She rolled her eyes on what I said.
"Alright, whatever. I need to go now, you need ride?" I nodded at her question and she went to the parking lot.
I slowly stood up, holding my bag. I brought extra clothes since I'll be meeting with the volleyball team later. I looked at the mirror one last time before leaving my condominium. I forced a smile after looking at my sad face. I shouldn't be sulking like this but I can't help it.
"You can do this, Hope!" I said trying to cheer myself up.
I wish I can really do this.
