Chapter 2: The Escape
Lena made a run for the door, but Asher was too quick. He caught up to her, spinning her around to face him.
"You can't leave me," Asher growled, his eyes blazing with intensity.
Lena stood her ground, despite the fear that was rising up inside her.
"I won't be held prisoner," Lena said, her voice firm.
Asher's expression darkened, and for a moment, Lena thought she saw a glimmer of the ruthless mafia boss she had heard so much about.
But then, Asher's face softened, and he looked at her with a hint of sadness in his eyes.
"I'll let you go," Asher said, his voice low and rough. "But know this, Lena: you'll never be able to escape me. I'll always find you."
Lena's heart skipped a beat as Asher's words hung in the air. She knew she had to get out of there, before it was too late.
With a surge of adrenaline, Lena broke free from Asher's grasp and made a run for the door. She flung it open and sprinted down the hallway, her heart pounding in her chest.
She could hear Asher's footsteps behind her, but she didn't dare look back. She kept running, her eyes fixed on the exit sign at the end of the hall.
Finally, she burst through the door and out into the cool night air. She took a deep breath, feeling a sense of freedom wash over her.
But as she looked back at the mansion, she saw Asher standing in the doorway, his eyes fixed intently on her.
Lena's heart skipped a beat as she realized that she wasn't safe yet. Asher would stop at nothing to get her back.
And with that, Lena took off into the night, determined to escape Asher's clutches once and for all.
She ran for what felt like hours, her feet pounding the pavement. She didn't dare look back, fearing what she might see.
But eventually, she began to tire. Her legs ached and her lungs burned. She knew she couldn't keep running forever.
Just as she was starting to lose hope, Lena saw a light in the distance. She stumbled towards it, her heart pounding in her chest.
As she got closer, she saw that it was a small diner. She burst through the door, gasping for breath.
The waitress looked up at her in surprise. "Hey, honey, are you okay?" she asked.
Lena nodded, trying to catch her breath. "I need to use your phone," she said.
The waitress nodded and handed her the phone. Lena dialed a number, her heart pounding in her chest.
But just as she was about to speak, the door to the diner burst open. Asher's men stormed in, their eyes scanning the room.
Lena's heart sank as she saw them. She knew she was caught.
The men surrounded her, their faces cold and unforgiving. Lena knew she was in trouble.
And then, Asher walked in, his eyes blazing with anger.
"You shouldn't have tried to escape," Asher said, his voice low and menacing.
Lena knew she was in for a world of pain.
Asher's men dragged her out of the diner, throwing her into the back of a car.
As they drove away, Lena knew she was doomed.
When they arrived at the mansion, Asher's men threw her into a dark, damp cellar.
Lena landed hard on the cold floor, her head spinning.
As she looked up, she saw Asher standing over her, his eyes blazing with anger.
"You'll pay for trying to escape," Asher said, his voice low and menacing.
And with that, Asher's men began to beat her, their fists flying.
Lena screamed and screamed, but no one came to her aid.
As the beating continued, Lena knew she was going to die.
But just when she thought it was all over, Asher stopped the beating.
He looked down at her, his eyes cold and unforgiving.
"You're mine now," Asher said, his voice low and menacing. "You'll do exactly as I say, or you'll suffer the consequences."
Lena nodded, her heart pounding in her chest.
She knew she was trapped, and that Asher would stop at nothing to keep her.
And with that, Lena's fate was sealed.
