Black Snow
The sun streamed through the blinds, announcing the start of a new day.
I moved slowly, stretching as I began to wake up.
I opened my eyes, familiarizing myself with the surroundings, and all I could see was a room unfamiliar to me.
In a matter of seconds, I sat up in bed, noticing that I wasn't wearing any clothes. I covered my nakedness with the sheet next to me.
I looked around me, paying attention to that unfamiliar room, but apparently very expensive.
How the hell did I end up in this place?
I remember going to my boyfriend's house last night, only to see him having sex with my damn best friend. Then, I went to a bar and there, I met a mysterious and attractive man who was in the VIP area.
I'm sure we danced a little and then, everything went black.
Now I'm here, in who knows whose room, completely naked.
I can hear the bathroom door opening, revealing the same man from the night before.
He was wearing nothing but a towel around his waist, his hair was wet, and water droplets ran down his muscular and tattooed body.
I swallowed hard, observing his body, not even bothering to look at his face.
"Do you see something you like?" I heard him say to me, with that hoarse, thick voice because he had just woken up, his English wasn't really bad, and I could notice a powerful Russian accent in his speech.
My eyes rested on his; black as the dark moonless night.
Penetrating like those of a beast watching its prey before attacking.
I took a deep breath, I needed to be brave and get out of that place as soon as possible. I don't know what happened last night but, seeing his body full of scars, hickeys and marks and bites, something tells me that we certainly didn't talk about life.
"L-Listen, I don't know who you are but I want you to know that if we had sex, it didn't mean anything and I have to go now." I tried to sound firm, but the tremor in my voice betrayed me.
I saw that stoic face darken even more, emanating an aura of absolute danger.
I don't know how, or when, but he approached very quickly; staying inches from my face.
"It didn't mean anything?" He repeated in an icy voice. "You don't know who I am?" He insisted in the same way, while his eyes were fixed on mine.
One of his hands rested on my chin, holding me tightly, making me gasp in surprise and pain.
"Don't you recognize your own husband?" He inquired, leaving me stunned.
"Husband? What are you talking about? I'm not married." I defended myself, breaking free from his grip.
He smiled in the most cynical way possible and pointed to my ring finger.
"That says otherwise, Milashka."
I followed his finger to the place he was pointing, only to find a diamond ring on my hand.
What the hell had happened last night?
