Chapter 3

Of course a story always has two sides so we can't forget about the other main character...

Sylus Midnight, born in a well-known mafia family.

His parents always took care of him and showed him an immeasurable amount of love. While growing up Sylus had to learn how to manage the family and a few things about the underworld.

"Honey, i think is finally time to make him practice a few things.." Sylus dad suggested and his mom couldn't help but agree. The mafia life was hard, they would never know, when an enemy would make their appearance. So they slowly taught him everything and he got better with time, when he was finally able to master every little thing.

"Son, i have a serious question for you" His dad asked him and Sylus got ready for the worst.

"Ahem...Do you have a girlfriend?" His dad asked, sparkles in his eyes. "Hah...what did i expect"Sylus thought.

"No dad, i don't" Sylus answered and his dad, as a drama queen that he is yelled." Oh my little boy! I will never get to see grandkids... Ahh...Oh my god!" His dad continued the act when he felt a smack in his head." Are you crazy, he is barely 18 and you are talking about grandkids?!" His mom yelled, hoping some sense would get in her husband's head.

Days passed and Sylus lived a pretty normal life, kinda unexpected... He always focused in his studies and in training, he never had time to even think about romance. Life though would make him, let's say....quit this lifestyle.(The one where he only focuses in studying and training.)

Sylus even though he lived in a wonderful family, he had his own battles to fight. There were many boys his age in the mafia, who always tried to be the best just to be recognised and he never felt right to just follow them like a sheep. So he made his own rules and followed his own path, always with his parents on his side.

And just like that he reached the age of 19...And it was then where he met him is first love. It was spring, the sun was glowing and there was a little of a comforting breeze. The flowers' smell was addicting and it was like the time froze. That's where he first met her, Amanda, his first girlfriend and definitely something more in the future.

Their eyes locked and stared at each other, it was like the time really stopped. They went in a cafe, exchanged numbers and that's how their story begun.

"I am Amanda, nice to meet you" She said blushing.

"My name's Sylus..." He said averting his eyes from time to time.

That's how their greeting basically went, not anything too much. They were both young, and what it looked like both in love.

So they continued to go on dates, talk to each other and finally meeting their parents. But maybe it was then where things took a bit of a wrong turn, and Sylus would realised it way to late....
