Chapter 4 : "The Eastern" City

They stopped at a huge lake, it was close to a border. They stopped because Hiyami was tired and Kazuki and Khyeira needed rest as well, and it was almost midnight. Khyeira took out sleeping bags, she goes to sleep right away. Kazuki tied Hiyami to a tree, finds some branches, lighted them up to make a campfire, then he goes to sleep.

When Kazuki was sleeping, he heard a sound of blade, he wanted to get up and quickly grab his axes, but Khyeira foot nudged Rathomir’s foot. He thought she meant to stay down and wait. He heard a sound of someone walking quietly, getting closer and closer. The sound was approaching her, She opened her eyes and punched. It was a bandit, he stopped her hands, and choked her. Kazuki instantly gets up and grabbed his axes, he went for the hand, the bandit noticed it, and jumped back. Khyeira immediately gets up and readies her little dagger that she had. She charged at the bandit, but he jumped behind and kicked her from the back, she crashed into a tree. Kazuki charged when the bandit was kicking her, he kicked Kazuki, but he blocked him with his axes, he punched Kazuki in the stomach and then in the face, he was thrown back. Kazuki didn’t see any weapons on the bandit, maybe he didn’t have any means to hurt Kazuki and Khyeira. When the bandit was about to pick up her pouch, she stabbed him in the leg, causing him to fall down and screamed. “P- P- Please, Don’t hurt me, human!” Said the bandit.

She deepens the dagger into his leg by her foot, “Then, why did you attacked us and did you bring your

friends? And what are you, if you’re not a human?” Shouted Khyeira.

He screamed, but he didn’t answer. She deepens it more. “Please stop! Here take your money back, now please let me go!” Cried out the bandit while feeling pain.

He gave a pouch, it was Khyeira’s stolen pouch (700RL), and pulled out the little dagger from his leg and throwed it. Then, he ran while limping his leg. “You dirty stealer! You’re the one-“ Shouted Khyeira.

“Enough! He gave your money back, didn’t he?!?!” Shouted Kazuki while slapping Khyeira.

Khyeira laughed, “You are one little brat who bravely shouts and slaps someone older and a different

gender than you.” Said Khyeira while still laughing.

“Eh?.... Are you drunk or something? Shouldn’t you be mad?” Asked Kazuki while being confused.

“No I’m not, I won’t be mad at you. I only just drinked a strength potion, but I didn’t read the causes-” Answered Khyeira while looking sleepy.

She fell down to the ground. Kazuki walked to her and called her name, but she was asleep. He read the causes on the potion, one of it was, “Do not use when tired, It will drain energy!” So he just lets her sleep at the tree.

The next morning, when Kazuki waked up, Khyeira has already waked up, she was wearing the suit, looking energetic compared to last night.  “Get up lazy boy and change your clothes.” Said Khyeira.

He gets up, and changes his clothes. The campfire was already out, They packed their stuff, mounts Hiyami, and rides off to the roadway. Since she was wearing a suit, he could feel the smooth body of Khyeira, his face reddens.

Halfway, they were hungry and their food had ran out, so they stopped at a town that was two times bigger than Torgovyn and more crowded, called Shcheye. They found many restaurants, but they eated at a bar. After that, they found a train station, It was a “free to use”.

“Can we just go there by train? It’s hot out there on the roadway.” Asked Kazuki.

“We can, just… How are going to bring Hiyami?!?!” Asked back Khyeira.

“Oh yeah, I forgot, Hiyami can become a spirit, so I can just keep her in a bottle.” Said Kazuki.

“Spiritus Fieri!”Casted Kazuki. And the horse became a spirit and stays in a bottle. Kazuki putted it in his backpack. They saw the schedule and a map where the train was going. He looked at his watch clock and the schedule, they have to wait for about for a few hours in that town. So, they just waited by exploring the town.

Finally, after a few hours, the train had arrived, it wasn’t a fast train like Kazuki thought it was. They got on, and they both wanted to sit on the chairs, but they only found one empty. “You sit there.” Said Kazuki.

“No, you.” Said Khyeira

They argued, but in the end, Khyeira sits on it. But, when they stopped at a station, an old man entered, he didn’t get any place to sit. Khyeira approached him and telled him that there was an empty chair (The one Khyeira was sitting on), and the old man sits on it.

Then, the train stopped at a station, it was The Iron Lands. They both got off, “Why

is it called the ‘Iron Lands’?” Asked Kazuki.

“Because some country west from here, asked our country to work together, and accepted it. Even if, some of the names of cities has changed.  My mother was a traveller, she once went to the country west from here, she learned the language, and taught it to me. And this city is called “The Eastern.”Answered Khyeira

“But, we aren’t goingthere, it has been ruled by the demons, some of the citizens there moved to here, we are going to Europe. First, we need to find a friend of my mother’s.” Said Khyeira

Kazuki just followed Khyeira. They didn’t go to The Iron Lands, they went to the airport. They walked on a side of a roadway, then he saw a big building, it was an airport. She walks to it, but not to inside of it, but a hangar. She walked in, “Hey Veselly! Are you in here?” Shouted Khyeira.

Then a girl, looks like the same age as Rathomir, She ran to Khyeira and hugged her. “How long has it

been?” Asked the girl.

“A long time I guess…” Answered Khyeira.

“Who’s That? Your boyfriend?” Asked the girl.

“N- N-No… That is not my boyfriend… His name is Rathomir, our village was attacked, and I found him

lying in my house. Where’s your father?” Answered Khyeira.

“Oh… Well, my father is buying some parts for a plane, it’s quite far from here, just wait here if you

want.” Said Veselly while smiling.

It reminded Kazuki of someone, but he can’t remember. While they wait for Veselly’s father, Kazuki just looks at planes taking off and landing. Then he got bored, he walked to Khyeira who was drinking a tea, “Why are we going to Europe?” Asked Kazuki.

“Well, my brother is a colonel in the army there, in England, and he knows how to cast

magic spells. Maybe he knows something about the demons.” Answered Khyeira.

Kazuki was shocked and couldn’t answer anything. But, he was more shocked because this world has the same country name as in earth. “Here, try it, it’s good.” Said Khyeira while giving the cup of tea to Kazuki.

He tries it, it was actually good. He asked Veselly for a cup of tea. He drinks the tea with Khyeira while enjoying the sunset.
