"I'm sorry " said I making a puppy face.

He sighed and replied," There is a chef who gives cooking lessons,I'll talk to him about you..okay? "

"Hmm" I nodded in yes.

"Okay then I must leave now ,I have already been late." He said and I left his hand.

"Thanks " he uttered and hastened outside.

And in a hurry ,he left his wallet on the dining table.

I picked it up and hurried behind him but he was about to enter the elevator..

" James" I shouted, "James" again and gave his wallet to him.

He took it and smiled," I had almost left it, Thank you sweetie" he pinched my cheek but then a man walked toward the elevator,"Good morning Mr.Parker,Is she your wife?" he asked.

" Hmm yeah she is ....Good morning Rio " James replied.

"Good morning " I greeted.

"Good morning Mrs.Parker" He replied warmly and entered the elevator.I don't know why but listening to 'Mrs.Parker' my heart fluttered.There were thousands of butterflies flying in my stomach.

"Let's go James " the man said to him.

"I'll head home then" said I to James, in a low voice.

"Hmm take care" he said.

I was about to leave but then I paused, turned to face James and pulled him into a warm hug..." Have a nice day my hubby...love you"

" love you too" he replied hugging me more tightly.

"Keep the doors close and call me if you feel something's wrong" He added and kissed my forehead.

I broke the hug and he entered the elevator.

"Bye" I smiled and waved my hand and the elevator closed.

"Huh!" I heaved a sigh and hurried back home.

The day was long enough...to tire someone like me and,

Approximately at seven p.m I was sitting on the couch when I heard someone knocking at the door.

"who?" I asked.

"your husband" he replied with a feeble voice. I could sense he was tired.

"it's open " I replied and he entered.He appeared extremely exhausted. I stood up and gradually walked toward him.

"Finally... she's coming to take my coat" he thought.

But I surpassed him and closed the doors instead. " Close the door when you enter" I rebuked.

"Come on man can't you see I'm so tired...and you didn't even bring me a glass of water."He was annoyed.

" Kitchen is there" I pointed toward the kitchen.

He sat on the couch and mumbled in an audible way," In what circumstances did my dad choose you..."

"On 5th December 2024 when he came to see me ,he was extremely happy to make me his daughter in law." I replied rolling my eyes.

Then I walked to the kitchen and brought him a glass of water.

As soon as he was done drinking it,I told him to stand up.

"why?" he asked.

"just do as I say" I ordered.

He stood up and I pulled his coat out.
