Sebastain's POV:
I followed his assistant and walked inside the office. The office was pristine, sharp and modern—a simple space designed to impress, and it worked. Alistar Blackwood, CEO of Arcadia Ventures Group, sat behind his polished desk, his fingers steepled as he observed the young man who stood before him.
The door had barely clicked shut before I stride in, cool and collected, my posture straight, shoulders broad. I am Sebastain, a prodigy in business field, (mainly technology field), known for his razor-sharp mind and unapologetic confidence. I am a person who believe my success is inevitable—and my demeanor reflects that with every step I take.
I have stepped into your den Blackwood. Will you sense it? I smiled slightly. No, you will not. Because I am Sebastain, the Ghost. If all the world has not been able to find about me till now, then who are you? A mere ant who is going to be finished any time.
"Sebastain," Alistar Blackwood, the boss of the company, greeted, not standing, but his voice was steady and authoritative. He is quite capable.
"Mr. Blackwood." I responded immediately, a calm, unwavering tone that matched his confident stride. I am no less than you. I offered a quick, firm handshake, then took a seat without waiting to be invited. Hope my air of self-assurance conveyed my challenge.
"So, Sebastain," Blackwood began, leaning back in his chair, eyeing me, or you can say testing me. "Tell me what makes you stand out. Why should Arcadia take a chance on someone like you?"
You are not even eligible to stand Infront of me and have the audacity to ask if you can take a chance on someone like me? Pfft.. What a joke?
I gave him a half-smile. "Well, for starters, I don't need a chance. I'm already at the top of my game. Arcadia wants someone who can elevate the company, not someone who needs to be trained or guided every step of the way. I bring results—no fluff. You need someone who can make quick decisions, seize opportunities, and do it better than anyone else."
Blackwood's brow raised slightly. Fish is in the net now. But he remained impassive. "What specifically makes you better than the others who are also vying for this position? There are plenty of qualified candidates."
I leaned forward just slightly, my eyes locking with Blackwood's. "I don't just manage; I innovate. I don't just follow trends; I set them. I've turned failing projects into profitable ones in less than a year, and I've done it by thinking outside the box, breaking conventional limits. Other people follow the rules. I create my own."
A small chuckle escaped Blackwood's lips, though he was still sizing me up. "I see you're confident. But how do you handle failure?"
I didn't skip a beat. "Failure isn't a setback—it's a lesson. If I make a mistake, I own it. But I'll also fix it in a fraction of the time it takes most people to realize they've made it. Failure just means I'm closer to perfecting my approach." I paused, looking directly at Blackwood, unflinching. "I don't waste time sulking. I move forward."
Blackwood nodded slowly, impressed, though he didn't let it show too much. "You say you move fast, but in a company like Arcadia, there's a lot at stake. We aren't just making quick moves—we're making moves that shape industries. Technology, hospitality, entertainment—each of these areas requires a long-term vision. How do you balance the short-term results with that kind of vision?"
My gaze sharpened. Challange accepted. "I don't separate them. The key to building a lasting empire is in the immediate wins—those are the things that give you the momentum to push forward. I don't plan for five years down the road; I plan for the next year, and I make sure every decision now has a direct impact on the future. My vision isn't a distant thing—it's built into every move I make."
Blackwood studied me for a moment longer, tapping his fingers lightly on the desk. "You're a confident young man, Sebastain. But confidence can be a double-edged sword. What happens when your vision clashes with others?"
I shrugged, my expression never wavering. "I don't clash with people. I align them. My ideas are solid, and people follow results. If they don't, I'm not afraid to show them why they should. But I know how to get the best out of people. I lead by example—if I can do it, so can they."
The CEO leaned forward slightly, intrigued by this response. "And where do you see yourself in the Arcadia team? How do you envision your role here?"
I smiled again, a confident, almost predatory glint in his eyes. "At the top. Quickly. You need someone who isn't afraid to challenge the status quo, someone who pushes the boundaries of what's expected. I'm not here to just fill a seat—I'm here to lead and take Arcadia to places it hasn't been yet. I see potential in every division, and I know how to unlock it."
Blackwood studied me closely, clearly weighing the options. "You've got the drive. But can you handle the pressure of being in charge, of making decisions that could change the course of this entire company?"
My gaze didn't waver. "I already do."
There was a silence, thick with tension. Finally, Blackwood sat back in his chair, folding his hands together. "You have the confidence, Sebastain, but it's not just about knowing what to do. It's about whether you can sustain that momentum when everything's on the line."
I leaned back in his chair, my smile never fading. "When everything's on the line...that's when I thrive. That's when I get things done."
Blackwood studied him for a moment longer, his decision forming in his mind.
"Well, Sebastain," Blackwood said, standing up and extending his hand. "You certainly know what you want. Welcome to this corporation. You can work from tomorrow."
BE READY FOR YOU DESTRUCTION BLACKWOOD...
I stand up, shaking Blackwood's hand firmly. "I'm looking forward to it. But I have one condition, will you agree?"
Blackwood raised his eyebrow, "What?"
"I have to be home after 6 pm, so I cannot work overtime."
"Sure"
