Chapter 1: The two princesses!

Once the date of the ceremony is set and the decision is taken, no one can change it anymore; not even the crocodile tears of the first princess, or the agony of the queen.The royal edict will be written with the ink of molten gold and is definitive and irrevocable. Even the alignment of the stars foretell a prosperous future for the two states after this marriage between the princess of Xilu and the tyrannical young emperor of Zhengzhou, so no one will try to fight against the divine law.

No normal human would dare to defy the gods, but a queen would still try! So...,because she is very unsatisfied with the king's decision, the mother of the nation retires to an isolated temple and threatens to become a nun as a sign of protest against the royal edict.

Everyone is a bit worried at the beginning, but as soon as the answer from the enemy's side arrives, the queen's drama becomes their last concern.

Surprisingly, the Zhengzhou emperor agrees with Xilu's proposal and promises to chase the fire until the wedding day and to release the fourth prince as a gift to his future wife. It all sounds to magical to be true and of course that's how it is: "just magical". In reality, he does not intend to make the first princess of Xilu the queen of his great empire. As an unmarried ruler, if he marries a princess of a foreign state, that girl would naturally become his first wife and potentially future queen. That is how the system works, but the emperor of Zhengzhou is too bold and calculated to fall victim to an apparent honey-trap. He's not the type of man who loses his head because of a little virgin girl. People like them can kidnap this kind of girls anywhere.

A silly princess is nothing special in the eyes of a conqueror, they all have the same flavour when they are covered in oils and powder. Everyone is aware that it will not be an easy journey for the first princess and her mission is almost impossible, but who dares to oppose the court and the king? The unhappy one doesn't have enough courage to overturn the situation, and so,

Ah-Xua closes herself in her chambers and refuses to eat, drink and interact with the rest of the world. Her isolation has started when she received the royal edict, precisely three days ago, and now all her servants are worried to death about her healthiness. They can not go to the queen because she is not in the palace, they can not ho to the king because it would be to rude to disturb the ruler of Xilu because of a trivial matter like this, so they can only run to Xilan to ask for help.

Imagine all the palace maids suddenly running toward the humble east wing of the royal residence just to meet a motherless princess that not too many care about. One that the servants usually ignore and that until today!

Actually, Xilan spends almost all her time in the Astronomy tower together with her tutor, so no one needs to take care of her daily routine. She has two loyal servants and that is more than enough for her. Fortunately, during this time of the day, the girl is training with her personal maid in the Wisteria gardens, inside of the palace. Xilu is a state rich in magical crystals, mystical creatures and numerous landscapes full with a large variety of flowers. Even inside the royal residence they have more than twenty gardens with different species of plants.

As she was exchanging sword attacks with her maid Luye, the servants of princess Ah-Xua rush toward them and bow down in front of the second princess:"Greetings princess Xilan!Please help us!"

Amazed by their reaction, Xilan asks: "How do you want me to help you? Is there something wrong with the people in the west wing? Why don't you ask my sister to help you, or our mother?"

The maids answer her: "Princess, you may not know, but the queen hasn't returned from the temple yet, and the first princess is making our life a living hell! We don't know where to go to ask for help!"

"My sister is the most gentle and fragile creature on the earth's surface. How can she make your life a living hell?"...curiously asks Xilan.

The maids of the first princess continue to explain: "Exactly that is the problem! She is such a fragile person and she will die if she continues to refuse to eat. Since the edict was brought to her, she has closed herself in her chamber and no one could step inside. We know that she only tries to make the king to revoke the edict, but if the news go out, we will all be punished.The princess hasn't eaten anything in the last three days! Can you please come to speak with her, maybe she will change her mind!"

"Why is my sister being so silly now? I understand her grievance very well, but this will not solve the actual problem. Fine, I will come with you right away! ...Anyway I wanted to visit her during one of these days!"....says princess Xilan.
