Eros POV.

I'm Yu Shen Wei, half Filipino/Chinese. The sole heir of the Wei clan. When I was a kid, I lived with my dad, Qing Shen Wei. He's a businessman here in the Philippines. He met my real mother, Veronica Dizon, here.

Their relationship wasn't smooth. Our whole clan was against their love, so my father remarried. She's also Chinese and has two daughters. My stepmother is cruel; she constantly beat and abused me. My father never saw it because he was blinded by love for her.

I decided to leave and find my mom until I reached Baguio. There, I met her and her whole family. They took care of me, as did the man I consider my father. They showered my sibling and me with love. It was there that I decided to use the name Eros Micael Dizon.

When I turned 21, they died in a fire at the company where my parents worked. So I decided to go to Nueva Ecija to continue my studies and also find a job to support my grandmother and sibling.

At first, my life was going well. Everything was working out until Zeph came into my life. She's one of my stepmother's children. Xu Zeph Williams is her real name. Her real father is American. I don't know anything else about her family. She enrolled at the university where I was studying. That's where the misfortune in my life began.

We were at a party, Juno's birthday. We were invited. While everyone was enjoying themselves, I took Zeph to Juno's mom's room so she could rest. She'd had a lot to drink.

I left her there for a moment and went back to the party. We had a great time drinking and hanging out until I got completely wasted. The next morning, I found myself in Juno's mom's room where I left Zeph. But she was gone. I called her a couple of times, but she never answered. No one noticed her leaving. She just disappeared that day. That same day, I found out that Juno's mom's necklace was missing. It was in the room where I slept. They kept asking me, but I really don't know what happened. I also tried to go to Zeph's place, but she had already left. So I got blamed. I don't have a choice. I'll pay for it, or I'll go to jail.

That's also the reason why I hate hearing her name. Just remembering what she did makes me angry.

"You look serious. It doesn't suit you," Skye joked, patting me on the back.

She sat beside me and offered me a bottle of beer, but I refused it.

Skye Hills, that's her full name. Half Filipino, half American. An only child. She's my best friend even before I met Bryn, Ivo, and Yuki. We were separated when she moved to America to study. She's always there for me. Sometimes, everyone thinks we're in a relationship, but we're just friends. No romantic feelings attached. Actually, Ivo has a crush on her, but she always rejects him.

"You're thinking too deeply. You might drown in there," she added, teasing me.

"Hays! I told you not to hang out with Ivo too much. You'll catch his loose screw," I said.

She just smiled at me and drank her beer. "Do I need to expect normal people in this group?"

I just shook my head.

"See, you're smiling. You were so serious earlier. You looked like a hermit," she teased.
