Eros POV

I woke up to a commotion outside my room. Ugh, why are they so loud? I slowly opened my eyes. I wasn't in my room. Whose house is this? It's huge and everything is so clean. I've never been here before.

I tried to sit up, but my head suddenly throbbed. I can't remember what happened. All I remember is getting drunk, and then… nothing.

Oh, right, Ivy! I need to call Ivy.

I looked around for my phone but couldn't find it. Just then, my friends came in.

"My brother!" Bryn exclaimed, hugging me.

"Good thing you're awake. You've been sleeping all day. We thought you weren't going to wake up," Yuki said, sitting on the couch.

"What happened? And where are we? Whose house is this?" I asked, holding my head.

It really hurts, like my head is being split open.

"Ah, this? This is Skye's house. We're in Pangasinan," Yuki explained.

"Skye? I thought she was in America?"

"She actually just arrived yesterday. Eros, don't you remember anything?" Bryn asked seriously.

"No, why?"

They exchanged a look, like they were hiding something from me. What did I do? I really can't remember anything.

"Oh, nothing," Yuki replied.

They're definitely keeping something from me. I just don't know what it is.

I looked for my phone again when Ivo and Skye suddenly came in. They were carrying a suitcase.

"Hey, sleepyhead, you're finally awake..."

He didn't get to finish what he was saying because Yuki quickly covered his mouth. Bryn tried to pull him away. I looked at them, confused.

Ugh, what's their problem? There's no one sane in this group, I swear.

I got out of bed to look for my phone when Skye suddenly rushed out of the room. That's when I realized I was only in my underwear.

"Hey, Eros, are you crazy?!" Skye yelled from outside.

I quickly grabbed the blanket and wrapped it around myself.

"Sorry. Who… ugh…"

The three of them laughed. They're definitely behind this. Where is my phone anyway?

"Has anyone seen my phone? Yuki?"

"Huh? Me? Uh… I don't know.

"Ah, Bryn, I bet you hid it."

"What? Me? I just got here. Why don't you ask Ivo?"

"Why don't you ask Skye ". Ivo replied.

"Hey! Don't drag me into this! I might just punch the three of you," Skye said, handing me the suitcase.

"Here, get dressed. All your stuff is in there."

I opened the suitcase and saw all my belongings.

"What's this?" I asked Skye, getting dressed.

"The landlord from your apartment came by this morning. Apparently, you're three months behind on rent."

Ah, that's what happened. I haven't been able to pay because I've been prioritizing paying Juno back. I have so many problems, and they're all hitting me at once.

"If you don't have anywhere to go, you can stay here for a while. I don't have anyone else here with me," Skye offered.

"What about me, Skye? Can I stay too?" Ivo teased.

"Are you homeless?" she retorted.

We all laughed. Ivo is such a tease, but he always backs down when it comes to Skye.

"Thanks, Skye, but I need to go back to work. My boss is probably waiting for me."

"Hmm, about the convenience store… there was an incident there earlier. It was robbed, so the owner decided to close it for now. Your boss asked me to give you this," Bryn explained, handing me a white envelope containing money.

Why is everything bad happening to me? This is so frustrating. Where am I going to get the money to pay Juno?

I sat down on the bed, scratching my head.

"What am I going to do? How am I going to pay Juno?"

"Eros? Why don't you try asking your dad for help? Doesn't he want you to come manage your guesthouse in Baguio? And…"

"I don't need his money, Skye," I said and walked out.
