Episode 5: Unexpected News

"BOSS!!....BOSS!!...PLEASE....I BEG YOU....HAVE MERCY ON ME.." Alessandro immediately shot the man kneeling before him.

Alessandro turned and walked away, his bodyguards following him. He sighed.

Zein was currently at work. He still couldn't forget what happened between him and Alessandro. But he wasn't feeling well. He had been feeling dizzy and nauseous lately, and he had been vomiting more often. He tried to push through the discomfort and focus on his work, but it was becoming harder to ignore.

Lin: "Hey, are you okay? I've noticed you've been looking pale every day."

Zein looked up at her, standing next to him at the counter.

Zein: He nodded. "Yeah, I'm fine. I'm just a bit tired, I guess." He sighed and shook his head. "It's nothing serious. I just need some rest. I'm okay."

Lin: "You don't look okay at all. You know, you should go to the doctor. I'll take care of the cafe." She pulled Zein out of the cafe.

Zein was too weak to protest, so he allowed Lin to drag him out. He stumbled a bit but managed to stay upright.

Zein: "Fine, fine, I'll go... stop fussing like a mother hen."

Lin: "Okay, go now. Be careful, okay? I want to come with you, but I can't leave the cafe unattended."

Zein nodded and made his way to the nearby clinic, hoping it was just a passing bug.

At the clinic, he waited his turn, feeling self-conscious among the other patients. The dizziness and nausea came in waves, and he fought the urge to vomit right then and there.

Finally, a nurse called out his name, and he was led into an examination room. He sat down, and the doctor started asking him questions about his symptoms and medical history. Zein tried his best to answer honestly, but he couldn't shake off the feeling that something was wrong. After a few minutes of questioning, the doctor conducted a physical exam. The doctor excused himself.

The doctor took a deep breath, gathering his thoughts as he sat back down.

Doc: Clearing his throat. "I have your test results."

Zein: "How are the results? Am I sick?"

Doc: "You're not sick, but erm, the results are a bit unusual... I'm having trouble processing them to be honest."

Zein's heart rate increased.

Zein: "Unusual? What do you mean, doc?"

Doc: Taking a deep breath. "The results indicate that you are pregnant."
