Chapter 16:Haters

A beautiful morning and Melissa blinked her eyes slowly squinting to adjust to the brightness of the room.

" Huh,where was this place"...

She winced in pain, looking around to see Sofia's son, sleeping on a nearby coach.

" Isn't that the other guy with green eyes"

She thought, grimacing making Antonio body moved before his green eyes opened turning to look at Melissa making her froze.

",did I scare her"...

Antonio looked at Melissa weak and flustered face before retracing his cold poker face.

The door opened and Sofia entered with Felicia both carrying lunch box and a basket of fruit. .

" Oh my dear , you're awake"

Sofia exclaimed happily,as she and Felicia moved towards the bed, Antonio stretched as he stood up from the coach yawning tiredly.

" Mom am going to back to get changed"

"Yes shoo away"..

Antonio"???"

Melissa and Felicia giggled seeing his stunned face before he scoffed and left.

Sofia didn't even notice him leave as all her attention was on Melissa's appearance.

" So dear,are you hungry ...do you want water!...

Melissa felt dizzy with the sudden questions and smiled warmly,Felicia was busy making her a hot tea making her sniff the air hearing the scent.

" Oh she's so cute".

Melissa took the cup of tea and watched as Sofia blew gently on it after scooping little in a spoon and feeding her.

"Hmmh"

Melissa's eyes brighten as she tasted the sweet chocolate,she smacked her lips together wanting more making the other two women smile.

" Okay don't drink it hot".

Felicia said anxiously seeing as Melissa eyed the cup of tea in her hand greedy,she gave a response by nodding her head before pouting.

" So cute"....

The two women had a smile on her lips,Sofia phone rang the next second making her frown.

" A call from the company, only few people knew her private line ".

She picked up the call stating coldly"who is it "...

" Madam please save us from Mr Jared he already fire the vice president and two other shareholders too,who knows who might be next".

" WHAT!!!!

Sofia was mad with fury,was Jared seriously going nuts.

" I will be there in a few minutes,also make sure he doesn't knows am coming".

" Okay madam ".

Sofia looked at Melissa's reluctantly before kissing her cheeks and showering her with love.

"Dear I will be back in a few minutes, Felicia will take care of you".

Melissa nodded in understanding,Sofia exchange glances with Felicia who gave a nod before she felt satisfied and left.

Felicia looked at Melissa's cute expression and smiled.

" What a cute girl".

Jared finger rammed on the desk as he glared at the shareholders in distain.

" What I fired them, because they're such a sore thumb got any problem with that".

All the shareholders had a frown on there face as some secretly sneak a glare at him.

" What rubbish,what authority did he have "...

They all cursed him a thousand time over in there hearts.

Jared sneered .

" Looks like it,since you don't have any better words to say just shut it".

" But sir ....this.. this is unfair "

A woman in her mid sixties said boldy, earning a scrowl on his face.

"And who are you to question me ".

" We are part of this company with shares Mr Jared you can't just fire us for stupid and unknown reasons best known to you".

"Mrs Amanda you sure are bold to talk to me like that ".

" Yes mr Jared because the last time I remembered you are just an acting president and not the CEO of the company,your mother is "

" SHUT UP"

Jared roared his eyes bloodshot as he glared at Amanda who stared at him eyeball to eyeball.

" No mr Jared that's the truth and it hurts to know you don't have the power your mother has over us".

Amanda voice was laced with distain as he eyed him in distaste not hiding her disklike for him at all.

Jared eyelid twitch with anger as he pointed at her.

" Let's see how you continue to talk cheap you lose woman, you're fired".

" Mr Jared please respect yourself and don't insult my aunt "

Monica his assistant said coldly seeing his provoking statement who knew Jared who slap her hard.

" Shut up b*tch"

Jared cursed leaving everyone stunned,Monica lips trembled with humiliation.

"You're fired"

He roared loudly his spit splitting everywhere.

Jared eyed them all with hatred and just as he turned to leave through the opened door,a resounding slap was heard leaving everyone totally speechless.

" M...m... Madam"..

" M.mom"..

The shareholders called out and Jared trembled seeing his mother's cold gaze making him break out in cold sweat.

" I don't remember having a truant in my company now do I ".

" Mom I....."

" Save that stupid excuse for yourself, your are dismissed ".

" Mom you can't do this _.

Jared roared in rage making Sofia scoffed unhappily.

" I can and I will ,this is my company and I have the final say,guards throw him out".

" Mom"

Jared was stunned,the guards moved towards him but he snorted before tucking his hand into his pant pocket and walking out with shame.

" Now where were we?..

Sofia said helplessly looking at the shareholders who had a stunned look on there faces.

" Madam "

" Mrs Sofia "

" Welcome back ma'am"

The workers all greeted cheerfully,Sofia apologized to Amanda and Monica who was flustered to receive an apology from her boss.

..Few minutes after they had all settled down,Sofia dropped a bombshell.

"Henceforth, Jared's no longer going to work in this company or hold any position,all project delayed must continue,with available resources,so everyone should rest assured".

"Yes "..

" ..."

The shareholders whispered happily,after Sofia said a few more words,she left and order to Mrs Amanda to help called back the shareholders and workers who got fired for Jared silly moment of playing boss.
