_Episode 4: A Glimpse of Her Heart_

As we walked out of the library, Sophia turned to me with a smile. "Thanks for understanding, Alex," she said. "It means a lot to me."

I smiled back at her, feeling a sense of empathy and compassion. "I'm always here to listen, Sophia," I said. "And I'm always here to help."

Sophia nodded, her eyes shining with gratitude. "I appreciate that, Alex," she said. "You're a really good friend."

I felt a pang of disappointment at her words, but I tried not to show it. I knew that Sophia didn't feel the same way about me, at least not yet.

As we walked across campus, Sophia suddenly stopped and turned to me. "Alex, can I ask you something?" she said, her eyes sparkling with curiosity.

"Of course, Sophia," I replied. "What is it?"

Sophia hesitated for a moment, then asked, "Do you believe in love at first sight?"

I was taken aback by her question, but I tried to compose myself. "I'm not sure," I said. "I've never really thought about it."

Sophia nodded, her eyes thoughtful. "I've always been skeptical of the idea," she said. "But lately, I've been wondering if it's possible."

I felt a surge of excitement at her words, but I tried to play it cool. "What made you start thinking about it?" I asked.

Sophia smiled, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "I met someone," she said. "Someone who made me feel things I've never felt before."

My heart sank at her words, but I tried not to show it. I knew that Sophia didn't feel the same way about me, and I didn't want to ruin our friendship by confessing my feelings.

As we continued walking, Sophia suddenly stopped and turned to me. "Alex, can I ask you something else?" she said, her eyes sparkling with curiosity.

"Of course, Sophia," I replied. "What is it?"

Sophia hesitated for a moment, then asked, "Do you think it's possible for someone to change your life forever?"

I felt a surge of excitement at her words, but I tried to play it cool. "I think it's definitely possible," I said. "I mean, people can have a profound impact on our lives, can't they?"

Sophia nodded, her eyes thoughtful. "I guess so," she said. "I just wish I knew if it was possible for someone to change my life for the better."

I felt a pang of sadness at her words, but I tried to offer her some encouragement. "I'm sure it's possible, Sophia," I said. "You just have to keep an open heart and mind."

Sophia smiled, her eyes sparkling with gratitude. "Thanks, Alex," she said. "You're always so supportive and encouraging."

I smiled back at her, feeling a sense of happiness and contentment. I knew that Sophia didn't feel the same way about me, but I was happy to be her friend and confidant.

As we continued walking, Sophia suddenly stopped and turned to me. "Alex, can I ask you something else?" she said, her eyes sparkling with curiosity.

"Of course, Sophia," I replied. "What is it?"

Sophia smiled, her eyes sparkling with gratitude. "Thanks, Alex," she said. "You're always so kind and supportive."

I smiled back at her, feeling a sense of happiness and contentment. I knew that Sophia didn't feel the same way about me, but I was happy to be her friend and confidant.

As we continued walking, I couldn't help but wonder what the future held for Sophia and me. Would we remain just friends, or would something more develop between us?

I didn't know, but I was excited to find out.
