Chapter Four: The Blood / The Man

Mickey spent the rest of the day trying to find out a way to escape his situation, when he got home he decided to tell his mom about the dinner hoping she would think it was a bad idea but instead she was ecstatic to go. As Friday approached the more and more Mickey wanted to tell Bon hoping that he had a way out but also didn't wanna get him involved if the family didn't know that he gave him the information. On Thursday during lunch Mickey finally told Bon about the dinner and Bon was immediately speechless knowing nothing of a dinner as he and his family were never invited to one, Bon eventually spoke telling Mickey that he has everything covered and he got up and left the table. For the rest of the day Thursday and all day Friday Mickey not once saw Bon anywhere at school, Friday night came and it was time for the dinner and when Mickey and his family arrived they were surprised at how big the house was for such a small town but Mickey knew that all there riches are literal blood money. They were greeted at the door by a older gentleman probably a butler and they were brought into the dining room and seated at end of the table farthest from the door. The family of four walked in not long after Mickey and his family were seated and were very quick to introduce themselves,

"Hello, I am Adwin this is my wife Olivia and our two kids Daniel and Joan" Adwin said "We are the Lords"

Mickey's mom took no time to introduce their family and the whole time Mickey was sitting and just waiting for them to attack them or something. The two families besides Mickey talked for a long while before dinner came and when it arrived was the first time Mickey took his eyes off the lords he was starving and hadn't ate all day because he was too worried about this so called dinner, it took not long at all for everyone to get there plates full and took even less time for Mickey to empty his, after dinner was desert a frosted ice cream on top of a fried Oreo with chocolate shavings on top but Mickey was already full and back to focusing on the family. After dinner was wine obviously Mickey had none as he was not 21 yet and for some reason the two kids Daniel and Joan didn't drink either but the Parents did and Mickeys mom had some but she had some of the wine the family kept for guests and soon Mickey would find out why. After a few sips of the wine Adwin and Olivia started to feel strange and as soon as he noticed Daniel excused them from the table and helped them into a room across the hall.

"What happened father ?" Daniel asked.

"Someone poisoned our blood supply" Adwin said painfully.

"Was it them father ?" He said "WAS IT THEM ?"

"No, they don't know anything, maybe the boy suspects something but if he knew what we are he couldn't be that calm and collective" Adwin said "Tell them I've fallen ill and kindly escort them out and wish them a goodnight"

"Yes father" he said.

Daniel did just as his father asked and once he was on the way home Mickey knew he had to go back there was no way a vampire can just get sick like that something else was going on. After midnight Mickey snuck out and started walking back to Lord's family mansion on the way he tried calling Bon multiple times never receiving an answer after a ton of tries he gave up and continued on his way. He soon reached the house and when he got there he noticed there were barely any lights on he jumped the fence and headed to the back door, as he arrived he saw a few of the maids going in and out of different parts of the house until suddenly they stopped coming in and out. Mickey noticed earlier in the night that the house was old and had no cameras or alarm system and thought it was probably because everyone was scared of them and not as stupid as he was to break into their house, he twisted the doorknob and surprisingly it was unlocked he moved quietly and as slowly as he could not sure about which skills they had like in the movies maybe they had super hearing or could smell his blood or maybe everything was a lie. He moved to the front of the house and saw the door to room that Adwin and Olivia were escorted into was wide open so he decided to head into the door to next door room which was a big office probably Adwin's study, there was a door connecting the two rooms so he snuck up to it and placed his ear upon it. Mickey heard the maids talking to each other to what seemed like a doctor and also heard Daniel and Joan talking and they were right next to the door Mickey was behind, as soon as he realized where they were he began to back up and before he could get far he heard a loud bang at the front door. Someone had kicked in the front door and Mickey heard a familiar voice yelling telling the maids and the doctor to leave the room and they did very quickly, the man told Daniel and Joan to move away from the door and towards their parents.
