CHAPTER 9

THE VOICE

There was no doubt about it. It was Emily.

No one spoke hence James continued," it's Emily. I think you understand what I am talking about. She was the first one we saw, and she alone was more powerful than the other two together. We even found her diary and her name, yet we know nothing about the other two family members "

Sofia :"I guess I get what you want to say but still do tell us about it, the next time you do something like this, ok "

James :" Fine"

Blake : "Guys its just 5:30. We still have some time until the game starts. So what do you suggest we do in the meantime "

Luke :" I think we should take a break. Most of us have not slept since yesterday. We don't know the situation hence I think we should take a rest and those who had some rest can search for clues which might be helpful "

Sofia :" I agree "

Tim: "Me too"

Stella :"Me three "

James :" I suppose everyone agrees. So let's divide the teams "

"Sofia, Tim, Anna and Kelvin should take a rest and Luke will guard them. Others will form a team and search for clues "

John and I formed a team,Blake and James both decided to act alone. We started searching around the house.

We went upstairs and into the room which seemed like it was of Emily Williams. This was the room in which we found the diary. Just as we were about to search the room, darkness engulfed us.

I woke up not understanding what happened. Just as I turned my head I saw John was also laying on the floor. I woke him up while trying to remember what happened.

Suddenly I heard some voices. It seemed like they were calling me and John. I turned towards the door only to see it locked.

We tried to open it but were unsuccessful. It was at this moment that John ran towards the bed. He picked something from it, 'oh ! My god, it's a key' .

He quickly tried to opened the door with the key. This time it opened. We quickly ran out of the room.

Sofia asked me about the situation.

I told her everything from how we entered to how everything went dark , how we heard their voices and how John found the key.

After all this Anna hugged me tightly, telling me about how scared she was, Tim also came, asked me about how I was and all that.

I quickly assured them that everything was fine.

Just then, James spoke,"Guys it's about time for the game to start. Let's get ready everyone."

At James remainder, I checked the time. It was going to be 9 soon.

We gathered in the living room near the table where we placed the paper with the answer.

All of a sudden, a voice resounded in the whole house.

What do you think will happen ?
