CHAPTER 8

EMILY WILLIAMS

Time always passes quickly when we don't want it to. The time to give the answer came. The moment the clock stuck 5, a sheet of paper landed in front of us and a pen was placed besides it.

It was decided that James would answer the question. He walked forward, grabbed the pen and wrote the answer.

Nothing happened. I suppose the answer he wrote was right. I quickly sneaked a peak at the answer he wrote. It was out of my expectations. It was not the answer that we had decided.

Some time ago

Luke :"We don't have much time, have anyone thought of a solution ?"

Blake : "Yeah, since we don't have enough information, We are in a dangerous situation at the moment"

Anna :"How about we write the names of the whole family "*she said timidly*

Kelvin :"But we don't know their names"

Blake :"Wait, let's hear her first since we don't have any idea at the moment "."So Anna what were you saying ?"

Anna :" We can write it like 'A member of William family' "

Sofia :" That is a great idea. Since nobody has any other idea, we should go with this one. Is it fine James "

"Fine by me", said James who was sitting quietly during the whole conversation.

It seemed to me that he had something going on in his mind, something which I felt was important and could help us escape.

If anyone looked closely at his expression, they would also think so.

Everyone agreed to the suggestion. Now another thing came to my mind how would we answer the question. I asked them about it and the response I got was that it would be revealed when the time to answer came.

Suddenly Sofia stood up and asked, "who will answer the question ?". James volunteered to answer the question.

Present Time

The answer he (James) wrote was 'Emily Williams '. No one excepted that he would write this name.

It was the name of the girl who wrote this diary and I think the one who was playing with a ball in the corridor upstairs yesterday.

John questioned James about why he changed the answer.

His reply was simple. He said," I found clues "

John questioned back by saying that why he didn't tell them before. James once again said,"I too sorted them out just now "

I asked him about the clues he found. He simply said,"Whose presence have we felt the most till now ?"

There was no doubt about it. It was Emily.

No one spoke hence James continued," it's Emily. I think you understand what I am talking about. She was the first one we saw, and she alone was more powerful than the other two together. We even found her diary and her name, yet we know nothing about the other two family members "

(For those who don't get it Kelvin was injured even when they were fighting the shadow or we can say Emily together. But when they were fighting the other two shadows together still only. Luke was injured despite there being one more shadow and Kelvin being still injured.)
