CHAPTER 5

WHO AM I ?

It was at this moment that we heard the sound of door opening . We turned backwards and saw, the main door which was closed was open. There was a shadow of a man at the door, suddenly it closed, the shadow disappeared.

We didn't know where it was, and it wasn't the worst because the noise in the kitchen stopped, the door leading to the kitchen opened.

The sight in front of us couldn't be explained in words. The knife was floating in the air at the entrance of the kitchen.

The knife was covered in a reddish-brown liquid which according to James was blood.

When we saw past it into the kitchen, we saw that the kitchen was also covered in the reddish-brown liquid.

Don't know who ran first, but we all started running away from the hall. The thing is nobody was following us. It disappeared just like it came.

We stopped running but were still vigilant. There they were, coming up the stairs. We started running away from them. James led us to a safe place, told us to hide and ran away.

We don't know how much time we spent in there.

We heard sounds coming from downstairs. James was giving instructions to others.

It was a long time later that we saw Blake coming towards us. He took us to the place where others were gathered.

Sofia told us about the whole story, but she didn't go into too much detail. She said that they were fighting with the shadows, but they suddenly disappeared, like nothing happened.

 They had some injuries but they were not a big problem. Only Luke had some serious injuries as he fought head on with the shadows. Sofia also told us about how the shadows did not seem powerful which was suspicious according to her.

It was at this moment that I glanced at the clock. It was 6:45. That means that the shadows disappeared at about 6 o'clock. Since we had be talking for some time, the extra time could be explained.

It means that the rules are true. But if they are true it means we have to go through these things for 10 more days since the rules say, it will last for 10 days.

Still I was not too much nervous. Since they (James and his team) had dealt with it today, they must know something.

I don't know how or from when but I started to trust them. I suppose it's because they saved us from those things. It was at this moment that I remembered the rules of the house. Rule no 2 - Questions will be refreshed every day at 6 am

I ran to the table in the hall, there it was, the first question.

It read, 'Who am I?'
