Scene: Art Room - After School

The art room is mostly empty. Kyne is working on a painting, his brow furrowed in concentration. Zyde enters, leaning against the doorframe.

Zyde: (Casually) Still at it, huh? I figured you'd be long gone.

Kyne: (Without looking up) I like to finish what I start.

Zyde: (Approaches Kyne's easel) It's… intense. What is it?

Kyne: Just… feelings. Trying to capture something I can't quite name.

Zyde: (A small smile plays on his lips) Feelings, huh? Tell me something I don't know.

Kyne: (Finally looks up, a hint of amusement in his eyes) You're surprisingly observant for someone who usually seems to be on another planet.

Zyde: (Chuckles, then becomes serious) Maybe I'm just… more observant of you than I am of others.

(A beat of silence hangs between them, charged with unspoken tension.)

Kyne: Is there something you need?

Zyde: (Hesitates) No… not really. Just… wanted to see what you were up to. You always seem to be in your own world. It's… intriguing.

Kyne: (Shrugs) It's where I feel most comfortable.

Zyde: (Steps closer) Maybe I could join you sometime. In your world.

(Zyde's gaze lingers on Kyne's face. Kyne meets his gaze, a flicker of something unreadable in his eyes.)

Kyne: (Softly) Maybe.

(The scene fades, leaving the unspoken question hanging in the air.)

New Scene: Outside the School

After finishing their conversation, Kyne exits the art room. As he walks down the hallway, whispers start to circulate among their classmates.

Junior Jenny: (Whispering to Silvia) Did you see them? Leaving the art room together?

Silvia: (Eyes wide) Zyde? That Zyde? So soft with Kyne...

(The rumors begin to spread, and Kyne, unaware of the gossip, waits outside at the bus stop. The rain starts to fall, and he pulls his jacket tighter around himself.)

Suddenly, a sleek car pulls up in front of him. It's Zyde, looking concerned as he rolls down the window.

Zyde: (Shouting over the rain) The bus is going to be ages. Hop in!

Kyne hesitates for a moment, surprised by the offer, but then nods and gets into the car.

Kyne: (Slightly surprised) Thanks...

As they drive off, the rain pours down, and the tension between them lingers in the air, hinting at the connection that is beginning to form.

SCENE 3: UNEXPECTED CLOSENESS

SOUND of rain lashing against the car windows

KYNE sits in the passenger seat, carefully closing the door. He's slightly awkward, still damp from the rain.

KYNE

(muttering)

Thanks...

ZYDE leans in, close enough that her hair almost brushes his. She smiles, a knowing smirk playing on her lips.

ZYDE

Seatbelt.

Her fingers lightly touch his shoulder, guiding him towards the buckle. Kyne's face flushes crimson. He fumbles with the clasp, his movements clumsy.

KYNE

(stammering)

Oh, right. Sorry.

ZYDE watches him, her eyes twinkling. The car is silent except for the drumming rain.

ZYDE

(softly)

It's okay.

Their faces are inches apart. The air crackles with unspoken tension. Kyne avoids her gaze, focusing on the seatbelt.

KYNE

(whispering)

Thanks again.

ZYDE pulls back slightly, a playful glint in her eyes.

ZYDE

Anytime.

She starts the car. The engine hums, a counterpoint to the storm outside.

INT. KYNE'S BEDROOM - NIGHT

KYNE sits at his desk, surrounded by textbooks and papers. He's trying to study, but his mind keeps wandering. He runs a hand through his hair, a troubled expression on his face.

KYNE

(to himself)

Why was he so...nice?

He thinks back to the car ride, replaying the scene in his head. The closeness, the intensity of her gaze...it doesn't fit the image he has of Zyde.

KYNE

(to himself)

It was...unexpected.

He sighs, pushing his books aside. The puzzle of Zyde's kindness remains unsolved, a lingering question mark in his mind. He can still feel the warmth of her touch, a faint echo of an encounter that left him both confused and strangely captivated.
