Felix stood outside Hyunjin’s door, fists clenched.
The audacity.
Hyunjin had just slammed the door in his face like he was the problem when it was Hyunjin acting like a complete lunatic. No way was Felix letting this go.
Without hesitation, he grabbed the doorknob and twisted it—unlocked. Idiot. Hyunjin really needed to learn how to lock his door if he wanted to avoid confrontations.
Felix pushed the door open and stormed in.
Hyunjin was already lying on his bed, facing the wall, blanket pulled up like that would somehow make Felix disappear.
"Okay, no," Felix snapped. "You don’t get to act like a freak all night, slam a door in my face, and then pretend like nothing happened. Get up."
Hyunjin didn’t move.
Felix narrowed his eyes. "Hyunjin."
Nothing.
Felix exhaled sharply before marching over and ripping the blanket off him.
Hyunjin groaned and turned to glare at him. "Are you serious?"
Felix crossed his arms, frustration bubbling up. “Okay, seriously, what is your problem?”
Hyunjin didn’t answer. He just exhaled sharply, his hands clenched at his sides.
Felix groaned. “Oh my god, just say it! You’ve been acting like I committed a crime ever since that stupid dare, and I know you’re mad about something, so just spit it out!”
Hyunjin finally turned, his expression unreadable. “There’s nothing to say.”
Felix scoffed. “Oh, really? ‘Cause your whole brooding, door-slamming performance says otherwise.”
Hyunjin’s jaw tightened, his eyes flickering with something Felix couldn’t quite place. “It’s late. Just go to bed.”
Felix’s frustration only grew. “No! Not until you stop acting like a drama queen and tell me what your deal is!”
Hyunjin let out a dry laugh, shaking his head. “You really don’t get it, do you?”
Felix frowned. “Get what?”
Hyunjin opened his mouth, then shut it again. His fingers twitched slightly, like he was holding himself back from saying something. Instead, he let out another humorless laugh and ran a hand through his hair. “Forget it, Felix. Just drop it.”
Felix blinked. “Drop what? You won’t even tell me what it is!”
Hyunjin turned away again, walking toward his bed. “Goodnight, Felix.”
Felix stared at him in disbelief. “You’re seriously going to sleep right now? Right now? After being all mysterious and broody?”
Hyunjin didn’t respond. He just snatched the blanket back and pulled it over his head like a child.
Felix clenched his fists. “You are so annoying,” he muttered before stomping out of the room and slamming the door behind him.
As he lay in bed later, staring at the ceiling, he couldn’t shake the feeling that he was missing something important. Something big.
Hyunjin had never acted like that before—well, actually, scratch that. Hyunjin always acted weird, but this was different. This wasn’t his usual cold shoulder or passive-aggressive comments.
But for the life of him, he couldn’t figure out what.
