A Father's Love

"A fatherly figure"

I fall to the ground as I heard my alarm clock "Ow, that hurt!" I succumb to my alarm clock and wake up anyways. I push my hand towards the alarm clock.

I yawn before I change into my clothes. I head out of my room to cook for my sibblings. I walk down the stairs into the kitchen. Not long after,I start cooking. For breakfast,I had prepared toast,apple slices and porridge for my little brother,Arthur with autism.

"Finally done... BREAKFAST IS READY!" They all head down and eat their food. "Arthur,you've already taken your medication right? The one in the blue bottle?" Arthur looks to answer me. "Yes,Arthur did! Is big brother Michael proud?" I look down to my precious brother "Yes,big brother is very proud of you Arthur!" I'm glad that he's healthy and that his condition hasn't worsened."Yay!"

"Alright,is everyone done eating?" It was almost time for school. "Yes!" Everyone screamed altogether. "Okay,go grab your backpacks and don't forget your homework Lilian. Then,Put your shoes on!"

"Yes,Big Brother!"

As my sibblings were getting ready,I pick up my youngest brother,Haruko. He's only a baby. I have to bring him to school with me because my mother's drunk and i'm too worried to leave him home alone.

"Ma,are you okay? I'll cook some lunch when I come home after school alright ma?" My mother glances at me then looks back at the ceiling.

"Michael! Arthur's having anxiety again" My sister,Cecilia called out. Arthur was throwing up blood. "Arthur, come here please." Arthur walks up to me cautiously. "I'm not gonna hurt you,Does your throat hurt?" Arthur looks down and said "Arthur's throat hurts..." I'm worried... "I thought you said you took your meds?" Arthur coughs. "A-Arthur took ones for blood sugar..." I then realised what was wrong. "Oh,you took your afternoon pills,not your morning ones." I pat the poor boy's head.

"Now,since your having anxiety what pills do you take?" Arthur's eyes look bright "The anxiety pills!" He looks at me "That's right,good boy!" He goes to his room to take the pills as we wait for him.

"You didn't forget your inhaler right,Cecilia?" Cecilia then looks at me giving me a thumbs up and a smile. I return it
