Episode Title: A Song Beneath the Tree

Episode Title: A Song Beneath the Tree

Setting: Fancy Academy – The Old Oak Tree

The sun cast a golden hue over the school grounds as Joon Ho Park sat under the massive old oak tree, his guitar resting on his lap. A soft breeze played with his dark hair as he adjusted the strings, his fingers finding the right chords.

Vanessa Rivers sat beside him, legs crossed, watching him intently. “So… what’s the song about?” she asked, tilting her head.

Joon glanced at her, a smirk playing on his lips. “Not sure yet. Just something I’ve been working on.”

He strummed a few notes, humming a melody before finally singing:

🎵 "Lost in the Moment" – Joon & Vanessa’s Song

(Verse 1)

Joon:

Underneath the sky so wide,

Sitting where our worlds collide,

The echoes of laughter, the whispers of dreams,

Falling like petals into endless streams.

(Pre-Chorus)

Vanessa:

Every second feels like fate,

A story written, never late,

Maybe we were meant to be,

Just you and me beneath this tree.

(Chorus – Both Singing Together)

Lost in the moment, hearts beating slow,

Time doesn’t matter, just let it flow,

Maybe tomorrow, maybe today,

We’ll find the words we’re meant to say.

(Bridge – Joon Solo)

The world is calling, voices loud,

But here with you, I drown them out,

No rush, no fear, just stay right here,

And let the music calm the doubt.

As the last note faded, Vanessa clapped her hands together. “That… was beautiful,” she whispered, her brown eyes shimmering with admiration.

Joon chuckled. “It’s not finished yet.”

“You don’t give yourself enough credit.” Vanessa nudged him playfully.

A comfortable silence settled between them as the wind rustled the leaves. They stared at each other for a second too long. Vanessa felt her heartbeat quicken. Was she… crushing on Joon?

Before anything else could happen—

A group of girls stormed toward them.

The Girls’ Fury

Vanessa and Joon turned their heads, only to see Lila, Jasmine, Olivia, and Sara marching toward them. Their expressions were anything but friendly.

Lila crossed her arms. “What’s this?” she asked, her voice teasing yet sharp.

Jasmine raised an eyebrow. “We leave you alone for one second, and you’re having a romantic duet under a tree?”

Olivia scoffed. “Vanessa, really? Him?”

Vanessa turned red. “Oh my God, guys, we were just writing a song!”

Joon scratched the back of his head awkwardly. “Uh… yeah, just music.”

Lila smirked. “Right. And I’m the Queen of England.”

The girls weren’t mad—they were just teasing. But Vanessa felt so embarrassed. She quickly stood up, brushing off her skirt. “Forget it, let’s go!”

Before they could leave—

Something Happens to Lila and Rozan

A loud shriek echoed from across the schoolyard.

Everyone turned to see Lila and Rozan standing near the basketball court—completely surrounded.

A group of boys from another class had formed a circle around them, laughing and whispering. Their eyes were fixated on the sisters’ bodies.

“What’s wrong, princesses?” one of them sneered.

Rozan gritted her teeth. “Step back.”

But the boys didn’t move. One of them, a tall guy from Year 9 named Victor, smirked. “Damn, y’all really came from America looking like that? No wonder all the boys can’t stop looking.”

Lila’s face burned with rage. “Say that again?”

Victor chuckled. “Chill, na. We’re just appreciating beauty—”

SLAP!

Lila smacked him across the face so hard that the entire courtyard went silent. Even the teachers at a distance turned their heads.

Rozan followed up with another slap to a different guy. The impact echoed.

Joon and Vanessa ran toward them, and within seconds, Jasmine and Olivia joined in.

“You idiots think you can say anything just because we’re new?” Jasmine snapped.

Victor held his cheek, stunned. “What the hell?”

The girls weren’t playing. The other students gasped, some whispering, others cheering.

“Lila no dey play!” someone shouted.

Rozan pulled Lila’s hand. “Come on, let’s go.”

The girls stormed off, leaving the boys humiliated in front of everyone.

The Aftermath

As the day ended, the girls sat in the mansion’s lounge, replaying everything that happened.

“I can’t believe you slapped him,” Vanessa said. “That was… insane.”

Lila crossed her arms. “He deserved it.”

Joon, sitting across from them, smirked. “Remind me never to get on your bad side.”

Rozan stretched. “Honestly, the boys in this school are something else. Nigerian boys think they’re smooth, but they’re just loud.”

They all laughed, but deep down, Lila knew this wouldn’t be the last time something like this happened.

Things were just getting started at Fancy Academy.
