Jun-ho, who had been silently watching, stepped forward, his body tense and ready for battle. "She won’t bow to you, Sung Hwan. Neither will we." His voice was steady, but his eyes darted to Yena, silently reassuring her.

Yena clenched her fists, feeling the stir of her fox spirit inside her. The fiery energy surged through her veins, her nine tails flickering faintly in the dim light. She had spent so long hiding her power, fearing what it could make her. But now, she realized she had to embrace it—not as a weapon, but as a shield to protect those she cared for.

She turned to Sung Hwan, her voice firm. "You think I’ll stand by and let you use me? You think I’ll let you destroy everything I love? This ends now."

Her mother’s lips curved into a bitter smile. "You’re just like your father. Stubborn and blind to reality."

The tension snapped as Sung Hwan raised his hand, dark energy coiling around his fingers. Jun-ho moved to block him, and Yena braced herself for the fight of her life.
