Jun-ho looked at her, his expression soft but resolute. "We don’t know her side of the story yet. There has to be a reason why she’s doing this. We need to understand her, Yena."

Yena shook her head, tears welling in her eyes. "I don’t know if I can ever understand her."

The door creaked open, and Officer Kim stepped inside again, her face more serious than before. "I’ve been able to track down a location," she said. "I think I know where your mother is. We can go to her, confront her, and find out what’s really going on."

Yena stood up quickly, her fists clenched. "No, I’m not going to just confront her. I need answers." She turned to Jun-ho, her voice desperate. "I need to know why she chose this path. Why she turned her back on me."

Jun-ho stood up too, placing a hand on her arm. "I’ll go with you. Whatever happens, we face this together."

Yena looked at him, the pain in her eyes slowly shifting to something more determined. "Let’s go then. I won’t let Sung Hwan and my mother destroy everything."

Officer Kim nodded, leading the way out the door. The tension in the air was thick with anticipation. Yena’s heart pounded in her chest, each step taking her closer to the woman who had given her life, but who had now become a symbol of everything she feared.

As they reached the location Officer Kim had found—a secluded mansion hidden deep in the forest—Yena’s mind was filled with questions. Was her mother a victim too, caught in Sung Hwan’s web of manipulation? Or was she a willing participant in his dark plan?
