As Kai and the elderly couple walked through the forest, a sudden rustling from the bushes startled them. Before they could react, a small, two-foot-tall monster leaped out, biting the grandmother with a single strike.
Kai: crying "Grandma! No!"
The grandfather, an ex-shadow soldier, quickly drew a knife and charged at the creature.
Grandfather: "Stay back, Kai!"
He stabbed the monster's neck multiple times, but the creature's claws slashed his right arm.
Grandfather: gritting his teeth "I won't let it harm you!"
In a final act of desperation, the grandfather opened a grenade and detonated it, taking the monster with him.
Grandfather: "Kai, run!"
The explosion left little Kai alone, crying hard in the aftermath.
Kai was convinced that he would have to face everything alone—no one with him. He walked, gripping the knife, ready yet terrified of the future.
He saw a huge cave from which the sound of laughter was coming.
Suddenly, random flashbacks occurred, and Kai opened his eyes to find himself now 12 years old.
Kai sat alone, his mind a whirlwind of confusion and frustration.
"I'm tired of these damn flashbacks," he muttered to himself.
"I don't know what happened; my memory's gone. But I remember... I must find a map," he recalled, his voice tinged with desperation.
"What was it?"
He clenched his fists, frustration evident on his face.
"I was weak. I didn't know how to fight or even run. Now, I'm capable of handling this situation. How do I know martial arts?"
He paused, trying to piece together the fragments of his past.
"I've been trying to get my memory back for the last two months," he sighed, feeling the weight of his journey.
Determined, Kai stood up, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.
"I won't stop until I find that map," he vowed, his resolve strengthening.
Kai stood alone, gripping his broken sword, his heart heavy with determination.
"Now, I have something: my courage and a broken sword," he muttered to himself.
He gazed at the looming building ahead, uncertainty clouding his thoughts.
"Could I find it here?" he wondered aloud, his voice tinged with doubt.
With a deep breath, Kai steeled himself for the challenges that lay ahead.
"I won't stop until I find what I'm searching for," he vowed, his resolve unwavering.
Kai entered the building, his footsteps echoing in the eerie silence. Everything appeared as if a disaster had struck—debris scattered, walls crumbling, and dust filling the air.
He searched through the wreckage, his heart pounding with anticipation. After a while, he stumbled upon a collection of 70 books, each one a world map.
"What am I supposed to do now?" he muttered, frustration evident in his voice.
He sat down amidst the chaos, flipping through the pages of the maps, hoping to find a clue, a direction, anything that could guide him.
But the maps were just maps—detailed, intricate, but ultimately, they didn't hold the answers he sought.
Kai closed his eyes, trying to recall the words of his grandfather: "Find the map."
But which map? And what was he supposed to find?
His mind raced, but the answers remained elusive.
With a sigh, he stood up, determined to continue his search.
"I won't stop until I find what I'm looking for," he vowed, his resolve strengthening.
He gathered the books, hoping that among them, he would find the key to unlocking the mystery that had haunted him for so long.
Kai heard a woman's scream from the 17th floor.
He thought, "Maybe this is the first person I can help in my life."
Determined, he rushed toward the stairs, ready to assist.
