The monster's deafening scream shattered nearby windows, sending shards flying. Kai’s legs buckled beneath him, and he fell to his knees, trembling. Hopeless and terrified, he accepted his fate, his tearful eyes staring up at the beast that would surely devour him.

Just as the creature lunged forward, a shadow—one of the legendary soldiers blessed with extraordinary abilities and mana—dashed into the scene. With precise agility, the shadow’s blade slashed through the monster's arm, severing it in a single motion. "Run!" the shadow screamed at the boy.

Kai didn’t need to be told twice. He scrambled to his feet and sprinted away, his heart pounding in his chest. But as the boy disappeared into the distance, the battle raged on. The monster, enraged, swung its massive claws with relentless fury. The shadow deflected the first strike, but with a sickening crack, the claws shattered his blade.

Out of options, the shadow turned to flee, but the monster was too quick. Its claws pierced through his body, silencing him forever. The battlefield grew eerily quiet, save for the crackle of flames and the distant cries of the boy running for his life.

Just as the monster roared in triumph over its kill, another figure appeared—a person clad in dark robes and wearing a featureless mask. They moved with inhuman speed, their blade glinting in the daylight. In a single, precise motion, the masked figure sliced the massive beast in half, splitting it cleanly down the middle.

The monster's body collapsed with a sickening thud, and its blood erupted like a flood, spraying everywhere. Kai, frozen in shock, was drenched in the warm, sticky fluid. It covered his face, blinding him momentarily as he gasped and wiped at his eyes, trembling with both fear and relief.
