A Game of Lies

[Scene: Alex’s office. Rowena leans over Alex’s desk, her eyes blazing with suspicion.]

Rowena: [snarling] “I asked you a question, Alex. What’s in those accounts?”

Alex: [raising his hands in mock surrender] “Calm down, Rowena. It’s nothing you need to worry about.”

Rowena: [slamming her hand on the desk] “Don’t tell me to calm down! Ian said there are irregularities. If you’re hiding something that could implicate me—”

Alex: [cutting her off] “Do you even hear yourself? You’re turning Ian against me now?”

Rowena: [coldly] “If you’re clean, prove it. Open the accounts.”

Alex: [smirking nervously] “Do you honestly think I’ll hand over everything to you? Trust works both ways, Rowena.”

There’s a tense silence. Rowena finally steps back, her expression unreadable.

Rowena: [icy tone] “This isn’t over.”

[Scene shifts: Liana’s surveillance room. She and Noah watch the argument unfold via a hidden camera.]

Noah: [grinning] “They’re eating each other alive. Beautiful.”

Liana: [calmly sipping her coffee] “It’s not enough. Rowena is stubborn. She’ll keep Alex close until she has undeniable proof he’s a liability.”

Noah: [leaning back in his chair] “What’s next, then?”

Liana: [smirking slightly] “We give her that proof.”

[Scene shifts: Damian and Adrian in a private lounge. Damian updates Adrian on the progress.]

Adrian: [raising an eyebrow] “So you’re framing Alex and pushing Rowena to turn on him. Smart.”

Damian: [nodding] “It’s the quickest way to weaken their alliance. Once Rowena’s isolated, we strike.”

Adrian: [grinning] “What about Ian? You can’t underestimate him.”

Damian: [smirking] “Liana’s already laid a trap. He just doesn’t know it yet.”

[Scene shifts: Ian Marks sits in a dimly lit room, analyzing the trail of evidence left by Liana’s team. His brow furrows as he starts to piece together discrepancies.]

Ian (to himself): “This is too clean. Almost… deliberate.”

He picks up his phone and dials Rowena.

Rowena: [answering curtly] “What now?”

Ian: [calmly] “I’ve been reviewing the accounts linked to Alex. Something doesn’t add up.”

Rowena: [snapping] “Then figure it out! I’m paying you for results, not questions.”

Ian: [smirking slightly] “Patience, Ms. Everhart. These things take time.”

[Scene shifts: Liana and Serena are reviewing Ian’s activity.]

Serena: [scrolling through a tablet] “Ian’s digging into the offshore accounts we set up. He’s faster than I expected.”

Liana: [nodding] “Let him. The breadcrumbs will lead him exactly where we want him to go.”

Serena: [smirking] “You’re enjoying this, aren’t you?”

Liana: [calmly] “Revenge isn’t just about winning. It’s about making them lose everything before they even see it coming.”

[Scene shifts: Damian arrives at Liana’s penthouse. He finds her on the balcony, the city lights reflecting in her eyes.]

Damian: [walking up beside her] “Ian’s starting to suspect the trail is fake.”

Liana: [without looking at him] “Doesn’t matter. By the time he confirms it, Alex will already be in a corner.”

Damian: [watching her closely] “You’ve thought of everything, haven’t you?”

Liana: [finally turning to him] “Not everything. That’s why I have you.”

They share a quiet moment, the tension between them undeniable.

Damian: [softly] “You’re playing a dangerous game, Liana.”

Liana: [smirking slightly] “So are you, Damian.”

[Scene shifts: Rowena confronts Ian in his office.]

Rowena: [furious] “Why is this taking so long? You promised results!”

Ian: [calmly setting down a file] “And I’m delivering. But you need to understand something, Ms. Everhart. The truth has a way of surfacing on its own. Forcing it only creates more problems.”

Rowena: [glaring] “I don’t care about your philosophy. I need proof against Liana!”

Ian: [leaning back in his chair] “You’ll get it. But trust me when I say this—Alex might be the bigger threat.”

Rowena’s expression falters, doubt creeping in. Ian watches her reaction, a hint of satisfaction in his eyes.

[Final scene: Liana receives a call from Damian late at night.]

Damian: [calmly] “It’s done. Ian has taken the bait.”

Liana: [smiling faintly] “Good. Let’s see how far he’ll go.”

Damian: [softly] “You should rest. Tomorrow might get messy.”

Liana: [her voice steady] “Messy is what I do best.”
