Baited and Trapped

[Scene: Liana’s apartment, late evening. She sits on her balcony, sipping wine as Noah enters with his tablet.]

Noah: [excitedly] “It worked. Rowena took the bait.”

Liana: [smirking] “What did she bite on?”

Noah: [sitting across from her] “The false charity partnership scandal. She thinks you funneled money from Everhart Corp into offshore accounts.”

Liana: [calmly] “How long before she realizes it’s a dead end?”

Noah: [grinning] “Not until it’s too late. We’ve planted just enough breadcrumbs to keep her busy for weeks.”

Liana: [sipping her wine] “Good. Let her dig herself deeper. The more time she wastes, the more we move ahead.”

[Scene shifts: Damian’s office. He’s on the phone with Adrian and Ethan.]

Ethan: [over the line] “Rowena’s team has already sent people to ‘investigate’ the accounts we planted. They’re spending a fortune.”

Adrian: [chuckling] “It’s almost sad how predictable they are.”

Damian: [leaning back in his chair] “Not sad—useful. They’re focused on chasing ghosts while we build the next stage.”

Ethan: [curious] “What’s next on the agenda?”

Damian: [calmly] “The donors. We’re going to make them question every penny they’ve ever given to Rowena’s projects.”

Adrian: [grinning] “Time to pull the rug out from under her.”

[Scene shifts: Rowena’s apartment. She’s seated with Eleanor, excitedly reviewing the fake files.]

Rowena: [smiling smugly] “This is it. This will destroy her reputation.”

Eleanor: [smirking] “Good. Once Liana’s out of the picture, we’ll regain control of the Everhart name.”

Rowena: [confidently] “By the time she knows what hit her, it’ll be too late.”

They toast with glasses of champagne, unaware they’re celebrating their own trap.

[Scene shifts: Liana meets with Damian at a private lounge. The atmosphere between them is relaxed yet charged with purpose.]

Damian: [sipping his drink] “Rowena’s spending a fortune chasing those fake accounts. Nice touch, by the way.”

Liana: [smiling faintly] “Distraction is an art. The more desperate she gets, the more careless she’ll become.”

Damian: [studying her] “You’re enjoying this.”

Liana: [meeting his gaze] “I have every reason to.”

Damian: [leaning forward slightly] “Just don’t let the past blind you. Revenge is a sharp blade—it cuts both ways.”

Liana: [softly] “I’m not blinded. I’m focused. There’s a difference.”

[Scene shifts: A charity gala hosted by Damian. Rowena and Eleanor arrive, trying to network with key donors. Damian watches from across the room, his expression unreadable.]

Adrian (beside Damian): [smirking] “They’re putting on quite the show.”

Damian: [calmly] “Let them. This will be their last performance.”

Liana enters, dressed in an elegant black gown, drawing attention from everyone in the room. She approaches Damian with a confident smile.

Liana: [teasingly] “Enjoying the show?”

Damian: [smirking] “It’s about to get better.”

Liana: [raising an eyebrow] “Oh?”

Damian: [leaning closer] “The donors we’ve been working on? They’re about to pull their support from Rowena.”

Liana: [smiling slightly] “Let’s make sure they do.”

[Scene shifts: Rowena mingles with a group of donors, unaware that several of them have already received evidence of her mismanagement.]

Donor 1: [politely] “Ms. Everhart, about the recent allegations against your charity…”

Rowena: [smiling brightly] “Baseless rumors, I assure you. Our records are completely transparent.”

Donor 2: [skeptically] “That’s not what we’ve been hearing.”

Rowena’s smile falters as she glances at Eleanor, who subtly signals her to stay calm.

[Scene shifts: Liana and Damian watch from a distance as Rowena’s confidence starts to crack.]

Liana: [quietly] “She’s on edge.”

Damian: [nodding] “And it’s only the beginning.”

[Final scene: Rowena returns home after the gala, furious. She throws her phone onto the couch and glares at Eleanor.]

Rowena: [snapping] “Everything’s falling apart! The donors are pulling out, the press is hounding me—what the hell is happening?”

Eleanor: [calmly] “It’s Liana. She’s behind this.”

Rowena: [seething] “Then we hit back. Hard.”

Eleanor: [smiling faintly] “Don’t worry. I’ve already started.”

The camera pans to Eleanor’s laptop, showing a file labeled “Liana’s Secrets.”
