Journey To The Mountain Of 13 Peaks (Part 2)

For the fear of losing their lives, everyone ran away, leaving the two sisters behind. Menacy had caught fever due to the wound, her face going pale. Jade couldn't take it anymore. She carried Menacy, sat on one of the horses, holding her tightly, pulling the harness of the other horse, she went on her way to find a temporary shelter.

After wandering for a while, she found an abandoned hut in the woods, which looked decent enough to be a temporary shelter. She tied the two horses to the tree branch near the hut and took Menacy in. She collected heaps and bundles of dry leaves and grass to make a bed for Menacy. She carried Menacy to this bed and examined the wound, its deepness and her fever, then said, "Menie, listen. I'm going to the town to buy some herbs and medicines for you, till I return, you must not move a muscle, do you get that? Don't go anywhere, just keep lying here, I'll be back in a jiffy."

Menacy didn't understand much, but she knew that her sister was asking her to rest there and not move. She just nodded.

Jade stood up, took her horse and went towards the town to search for a clinic. She asked some people here and there and finally, she managed to find a clinic.

She went in and asked for the doctor.

The doctor came out and asked, "Yes miss, How may I help you?"

"Doctor, My younger sister was stabbed and has also caught a fever, could you please prescribe some herbs and medicines to cure her as fast as possible?"

"How am I supposed to prescribe medicine when I haven't examined her wound or seen what condition she is in?"

"She is unconscious and deep in the woods, in an abandoned house so I couldn't bring her here or even take you there, her wound is right here (shows exactly where the wound is) and the wound is about this deep." (shows the deepness of the wound with the help of the measuring scale kept on the table beside them)

"Alright, but are you sure you'll be able to pay for the herbs? They're pretty expensive."

"Yes, I will surely be able to pay for them, no matter what price, just give me the best medicines to cure my sister."

"Okay."

The doctor turned towards one of the workers in the clinic and gave him a list of herbs. The worker left and came back with a bag filled with various herbs and a box with medicines.

"Here miss, first give her these pills with water and then, this paste is made out of a thousand year old ginseng root, apply this to the wound for the night. In the morning, let her have the pills in the green bag with water and then again, apply the paste and tie a clean cloth around it and the wound will soon heal."

"Thank you doctor! How much should I pay you?"

"45 silver will be the price, miss." The doctor said smiling.

"Okay..."

Jade looked a little nervous while letting out that 'okay' because she knew that she had only 50 silver pieces and she'll be left with only 5 which won't be sufficient for the journey, but she had no choice, her sister was wounded, Money can be earned back but health can't be.

She gave the doctor his pay and left. She rode the horse as fast as she could to reach Menacy. Soon, she reached the hut and went in. Seeing Menacy still lying inside, she sighed a breath of relief. She pulled out the bag of medicines and gave it to Menacy while Jade applied the paste.

"How much did it cost, Jadie? I know the herbs you've brought aren't cheap, how will we travel further if we run out of money?" asked Menacy looking concerned.

Jade replied, " You must rest. I have an idea up my sleeve and I'm sure it will work. Trust your sister for once."

"For once? I've always trusted you, I only have you in this entire world," Menacy smiled.

"Fine fine, Go to sleep now, I'll be back." Jade stood up to leave.

Menacy knew that if her sister has set her mind on doing something, she'll be able to achieve it easily, but she was still curious. she though to herself,

"What is my sister going to do? Is she going to steal from the bullies for revenge? Yes, I guess she is going to teach them a lesson."

Jade did not take her horse as she didn't want to be caught, she had to be silent. she went on foot, searching for those arrogant nobles, the place where they would be resting. She walked through the woods for some time when she found 2 tents and a campfire with 3 servants sleeping near the fire and their horses resting.

"Those nobles would probably be sleeping inside the tents in the middle of the night, the servants are also sleeping, this is my chance," thought Jade to herself.

Jade tiptoed through the woods, the moonlight shining above, without making a single sound, she went near the tents and very slowly she lifted up the tent cloth and went inside. The tents were quite spacious, the nobles were sleeping on a mattress, while their belongings were set in the corner. She slowly walked towards the corner where the valuables were kept and picked up the money pouches and a precious looking pearl which might come in handy in the future situations.

She stole all the valuables she found useful from both the tents and then slowly walked away without being noticed. Her forehead was sweating. She was so nervous that she'd make a sound and get caught, but she made it without them even noticing.

She felt happy inside. Only few hours were left until dawn, so she decided to go to the hut and sleep for that time and then wake up early and get on their journey before the nobles, to avoid any bad incident.

She went back to their shelter and went to sleep beside Menacy.

A few hours had already passed, the chirping of birds in the forest woke up both of them, Menacy had an ample amount of rest and sleep, her wound had already healed, just a scar was left. She was in perfect condition now. The demon blood in her body has the power to regenerate wounds faster than normal humans, the moment the demon side of her is awakened, the regeneration will become even faster.

Both of them woke up, Jade gave her the pills from the green bag and applied the remaining Ginseng paste to her scar and tied a clean cloth, then they set off for the Journey.

"Hey Jadie, you stole from those noble idiots, didn't you?" asked Menacy.

"You know me very well," Said jade and they both laughed heartily at those nobles.

Meanwhile, the nobles:

As soon as they woke up, the arrogant noble guy went to pick up his valuables from the corner and suddenly

"WHERE IN THE WORLD IS ALL MY MONEY???!!!!!!! WHO THE F*CK TOOK IT FROM HERE?? WHO DARES TO DO THIS F*CKERY???!!"

"SERVANTS!! COME HERE YOU USELESS PIECES OF TRASH!!"

The noble ordered the servants to come into the tent at once! He just woke up and couldn't find his valuables, all of his money was gone! Who could've done it? We know it of course, but does this noble man know?

"Yes master!"

"WHAT YES MASTER?? WHAT WERE YOU ALL DOING LAST NIGHT WHEN YOU WERE ON GUARD??! LET ME TAKE YOU TO MY FATHER'S PALACE AND TEACH YOU A LESSON, YOU USELESS TRASH!"

"We're sorry master."

said the servants, hanging their head low.

"WHAT 'SoRrY MaSTeR'???!!! WILL YOUR SORRY BRING IT ALL BACK??!!"

The servants had fallen asleep last night, while a 'certain someone' stole the money, it could've been anyone, those two sisters they messed with, a robber, an animal; they weren't able to think of anything now! Their money to travel to the Mountain was all gone!

They could do nothing but return back to their home. Poor nobles, smart Menacy and Jade.
