The woman’s word hung in the air like a challenge. Xander and Alistair exchange glance, their mind racing with questions.
“What prophecy?” Xander asked, his voice barely above whisper.
The woman smiled, her eyes glinting with knowing light. “The prophecy of the wizard king”, she said. “ A prophecy that speaks of two young wizards, chosen to fulfill an acient destiny”.
Alistair eyes widened in excitement. “What destiny?”. He asked.
The woman’s smile grew wider. “The destiny of saving the wizarding world from darkness”. She said. “A darkness that threatens to consume everything in it’s path”.
They both exchanged nervous glance. They had always known that their training as wizards would be challenging but they had never imagined that they would be faced with a task of such magnitude.
“What makes you think we are the chosen ones?”. Xander asked, his voice laced with skepticism.
The woman’s smile faltered for a moment, before she spoke. “Have seen it in the stars”, she said. “Have seen the threads fate that bind you to together. You are the chosen ones, Xander and Alistair”.
They both look at each other, unsure of what to say. They had always been rivals, competing against each other in every aspect of training. But now it seems, they were being asked to work together to fulfill an acient prophecy.
They both stood outside the hidden chamber, looking up at the stars. They had been given a quest, a quest to save the wizarding world from darkness.
“I don’t know if I can do it”. Xander said, his voice barely above whisper.
Alistair turned to him, his eyes shining with determination. “We have to try”. He said. “We owe it to ourselves, our trainer, and to the wizarding world”.
Xander nodded, feeling a surge of determination. “You are right”. He said. “Let’s do it”.
