Ch:20 into the lion's den

The sun hadn’t yet risen when Taehyung stood in front of the mirror, tightening the straps of his tactical gear. His fingers trembled slightly, not out of fear, but from the weight of what they were about to do.

Jungguk lounged on the couch, tossing a knife in the air. “Nervous, sweetheart?”

Taehyung scoffed, rolling his shoulders. “Not at all.”

Jungguk smirked. “Good. Because once we step into that place, there’s no turning back.”

Jungkook entered the room, his black combat gear fitted perfectly, exuding authority. “We move in two teams. Jungguk and I will take the front. Jae-hyun, you take Taehyung through the back.”

Jae-hyun, adjusting the suppressor on his gun, nodded. “We disable security, extract the captives, and burn the place to the ground.”

Taehyung clenched his fist "let's end this"

The Crimson Fang’s hidden lab was nestled in an abandoned industrial complex, surrounded by thick forest. The air was heavy with the scent of damp earth and rusted metal.

Jungkook crouched behind a stack of crates, eyes scanning the heavily guarded entrance. “Four guards at the front. Armed.”

Jungguk cracked his knuckles. “Easy.”

Without warning, he lunged, his movements a blur. The first guard barely had time to react before Jungguk slammed a blade into his throat. The others turned, but Jungkook was faster, twisting, dodging, and taking them down with precision.

Jungkook stepped over the bodies, pressing a finger to his earpiece. “Front entrance clear.”

Meanwhile, Jae-hyun and Taehyung navigated the back, a single guard patrolled the rear entrance , but before he could raise an alarm, vines shot from the ground , wrapping around his throat and pulling him into shadows

Taehyung exhaled lowering his hand "he's out"

Jae-hyun glanced at him impressed "your control is improving"

Taehyung smirked "I learn fast"

They slipped inside

The inside of the facility was worse than they had imagined cold metal wall's , the hum of machinery, and cells- rows of them filled with people Some unconscious some awake but too weak to move

A child whimpered from one of the cages

Taehyung's chest tightened "this is sick"

jae-hyun nodded grimly "we get them out"

He hacked into the system disabling the locks

The door slid open and the captives hesitated before realising they were free.

"go" taehyung urged "Run"

one by one they fled

Suddenly an alarm blared

Jungkook's voice came through the earpiece "they know we're here get ready for a fight"

Armed guards stormed into the hallway, rifles raised.

Jae-hyun fired first, his bullets precise and deadly. Taehyung, eyes burning with fury, raised his hands. Thick vines erupted from the walls, snatching weapons and constricting enemies like living snakes.

One soldier managed to fire a shot, grazing Taehyung’s arm. He hissed in pain.

Jae-hyun’s expression darkened. A single bullet to the man’s head ended him.

“Are you okay?” Jae-hyun asked, reaching for Taehyung’s wound.

“I’m fine,” Taehyung muttered, already healing. “Let’s keep moving.”

Jungkook and Jungguk joined them, both covered in blood.

“Main lab’s ahead,” Jungkook said. “But we have a problem.”

Taehyung followed his gaze

At the end of corridor stood a Man dressed in white ,cold, calculating eyes.

The mastermind behind it all
