Inside the Bunker
Taehyung sat on a crate, arms crossed, as the Jeon brothers made themselves at home.
Jungkook was inspecting the underground tunnels like he owned the place.
Jae-hyun was checking the bunker’s ventilation system, mumbling something about "securing airflow for long-term survival."
Jungguk?
The menace was already sprawled across one of the old couches, eating chips he somehow pulled out of nowhere.
Taehyung pinched the bridge of his nose.
This was supposed to be his secret.
But now, they were taking over.
He glared at Jungkook. “I didn’t ask for your help.”
Jungkook smirked. “I know.”
Taehyung scowled. “Then why—”
Jae-hyun interrupted without looking up. “You’re ours, Taehyung.”
Taehyung froze.
Jae-hyun’s tone was flat. Absolute.
Jungkook grinned. “Exactly. And we take care of what’s ours.”
Jungguk grinned around a mouthful of chips. “So get used to it, little lamb.”
Taehyung wanted to scream.
But before he could protest—
Jae-hyun suddenly appeared in front of him.
His movements were too fast. Too controlled.
This wasn’t normal.
Taehyung’s pulse spiked. “What—”
Jae-hyun reached out—his fingers brushing against Taehyung’s wrist.
And then, his eyes darkened.
“Your heartbeat just spiked.”
Taehyung yanked his hand away. “Because you creeped up on me!”
Jae-hyun raised an eyebrow. “Or because you’re hiding something?”
Taehyung’s breath hitched.
He knew.
Somehow, Jae-hyun knew.
But before Taehyung could react, Jungkook suddenly pulled him closer.
One strong arm wrapped around his waist—firm, possessive.
Taehyung gasped, palms landing on Jungkook’s chest. “What the—”
Jungkook chuckled. “Relax.”
His grip didn’t loosen.
“Jae-hyun gets curious when things don’t add up. It’s best if you just… obey.”
Taehyung’s eyes narrowed.
“Obey?”
Jungguk hummed. “Yeah. Like a good boy.”
Taehyung kicked him in the shin.
Jungguk yelped, falling off the couch. “HEY!”
Jae-hyun smirked.
Jungkook sighed dramatically. “See, now we have to discipline you.”
Taehyung’s stomach flipped.
“What?”
Jungkook leaned in, whispering against his ear.
“You don’t think you can get away from us, do you?”
His breath was warm. Teasing. Dangerous.
Taehyung refused to shiver.
He shoved Jungkook away.
“Back off, pervert.”
Jungguk cackled. “That’s rich, coming from someone who sneaks around behind our backs.”
Taehyung stiffened.
Jae-hyun’s eyes glinted. “You do sneak around a lot, don’t you, Taehyung?”
Shit.
He was walking on thin ice.
He needed to change the topic. Fast.
So, he crossed his arms and smirked. “Why are you all so obsessed with me?”
Jungguk grinned. “Because you’re fun.”
Jae-hyun shrugged. “And unpredictable.”
Jungkook’s gaze softened—but his smirk remained.
“Because you’re ours.”
Taehyung’s chest tightened.
No.
He wasn’t theirs.
He couldn’t be.
Because if he got attached…
If he let them in…
He wouldn’t survive the apocalypse.
And Taehyung refused to die again.
Later That Night
Despite his protests, the Jeon brothers refused to leave.
Taehyung sat alone on his cot, staring at the ceiling.
He needed a plan.
He couldn’t let them distract him.
Couldn’t let them get too close.
He had one year before the apocalypse.
And he had no time for love.
But as he turned on his side, his heart still pounding from Jungkook’s whispered words, Jungguk’s teasing grin, and Jae-hyun’s piercing gaze…
He knew.
Staying away from them wouldn’t be easy.
And deep down, a part of him wondered…
Did he even want to?
