Chapter 15

Qiuyue left the Study to find Li Mei. Even though Mr. Song will help her in her studies, she also wanted learn from other people. When Li Mei saw her, she hurriedly ran to her.

"Miss Yue! Boohoo! I thought you don't need me anymore." She said while feigning her dejection.

Qiuyue laughed softly and apologised to her. She told Li Mei about her plans to study too. Inside her new room, they were talking about a lot of things. Qiuyue will ask and Li Mei will answer!

"Mei, what do the other cities look like? Is it completely different from H city?" She asked. She was sitting on the bed with her legs dangling.

Li Mei was sitting on a chair. At first, Qiuyue told her to sit beside her but Li Mei said that it was against their rules. She asked her to sit on a chair instead. Li Mei denied her again. Qiuyue had no choice but to use her 'authority' and ordered her to sit!

"Miss Yue, H city is still underdeveloped. However, the city where I came from was a prosperous one and way better than H city! Everywhere you look at, you will see tall buildings and lights! There are many people everywhere and they dress fabulously!" Li Mei excitedly told her.

"Are there many people there like Mr. Song?" She asked.

"Yes, Miss Yue! There are many businesses and establishments in our city. Hence, there are many people who work like Master and dress like him. The houses are bigger too and more beautiful but the residence of Mr. Song in C City is the grandest! It is one of the biggest residences in the city."

"Hm. Do people work like Mr. Song? From morning to evening?"

"Miss Yue, it varies depending on the business and establishments. The common work schedule is from 9 am to 5 pm. Some people start their work as early as 6 am though or as late as 9 pm."

"W...what? They start at 9 pm?"

"Yes, Miss Yue. There is an establishment called 'Bar' or 'Pub' in our city. It usually starts its operation around 9 pm and ends around 5 am. They serve beer, wine, cocktails and other alcoholic beverages. They also serve food. Oh, Miss Yue! They play loud music that you cannot hear what other people are talking about! They also dance! Some people even hug and kiss each other!"

"Hug and kiss? Mei, do they like each other when they hug and kiss?"

"Of course! Most people who do that are boyfriends and girlfriends or 'couple'."

"M...Mei, do you know if Mr. Song go there too?"

Mei thought for a while. "Hmm... I don't know. I don't think so. Master Song is always busy with his businesses. I don't think he has the time to go there. Master is a very popular person. Many women always tried to get close to him and even invite him to other places, including there. But you know, Miss Yue, he will decline them every time! He had never been close to any woman!"

"Not... Not close? He never had a girlfriend before?"

"I heard this from Head Butler Song. He never had any girlfriend or a woman near him. There was one time when a new worker in his company tried to seduce him at work and touch his body. Master was so mad that he slapped the girl with a binder! Ouch!" Mei rubbed her cheeks. "That woman was thrown out the building. She was even banned from applying to all of Master's companies! Tsk. Poor woman!"

'So... Am I the first woman to be close to him?' Qiuyue felt embarrassed that her cheeks were beet red when she thought of it. She looked down for a while to calm her heart.

"Miss Yue, are you okay?" She asked as she noticed her silence.

"Hmm... Mei, have you been to a bar or a pub? You know a lot about it!" She abruptly asked.

"Hehe. Miss Yue, don't tell anyone, okay? I've been there before with my boyfriend." She said in a low voice.

"Oh. So you hug and kiss too?" She asked innocently.

Mei was so embarassed by her question that she was beet red too. "Miss.. Miss Yue!"

Seeing her embarrassment, she laughed and apologised. She thought Mei looked adorable.

She coughed. Her Miss' innocence was both good and bad for her heart. "Miss Yue, we do not hug and kiss in public as much as possible. People will think that you do not have any manners and that you are shameless. So if one day, you get a boyfriend, remember not to do that in public. You can do it when no one is watching though or when you are in your own house."

"Oh, I will remember that. Also, I don't think that's going to happen. I don't think I can leave this place for a while."

"Miss Yue, why not? You can ask Master for his permission. It is nice to go out once in a while. You can visit the city with Young Master Huan and discover many things! I think he will enjoy it!"

Qiuyue's eyes lit up. "I will but not for now. I want to start my studies first and just visit when I am free. I will then bring Huan, you and Ling so you can guide us. Of course, only if Mr. Song will agree."

"Oh, Miss Yue! I am sure he will and don't worry! My sister and I will do our best to be your tour guides!"

The two ladies continued their conversation until lunch arrived. After eating, Qiuyue watched Huan as he was being taught by his tutor. She was smiling all the time. Huan was so focused on his studies. He is working (studying) hard too. He did all his assignments. The tutor even praised him for his attitude and intelligence. She really wished she can bring him to other cities one day like what Mei said.

At 3 pm, she started practising her swordsmanship.

In the Study, Jin checked his watch. He knew her schedule. He wanted to watch her practise again but he had a lot of things to do too.

"How's the house registration going on?" He asked.

"Master, all the forms have been completed. The City Lord will release a public announcement about it and the people will be able to claim it in the City Lord office." Wen reported.

"Hm. Make sure that every family will be able to claim it. If not, send people to their houses. After which, we will begin the reconstruction project." He stated.

"Yes, Master."

"Wen, prepare everything for Qiuyue's studies. She will study here in the residence so make sure to hire the best people for her." Jin then instructed.

"Master, isn't Miss Yue going to work?" Wen asked, seemingly confused.

"She is not equipped with the right knowledge. You know her history."

"I unders—" Poor Wen was interrupted once more!

"No male tutors. Hire women but deal with them." He quickly added.

Wen's lips twitched inconspicuously. 'What's with this unreasonable request!'

"I.. I understand, Master." He left the Study and went back to his office.

While walking, he was crying inside. Since his Master arrived in H City, his orders were getting more and more unusual. He also seemed to focus a lot more on the siblings' well being.

'And no male teachers? Hmm... No male teachers? Why? So they will not get close with Miss Yue?' He stopped in his track.

'W... wait... don't tell me Master has taken a liking to Miss Yue?' He resumed walking.

'Master who had thrown many women out his office and building has finally like someone? But... this is still not an assurance. I must see a proof!'

Dinner arrived.

Wen had been acting weird as he looked at his Master and Miss Yue back and forth from time to time. The siblings, butlers, maids and guards may have not noticed it but Jin had! However, what he only noticed was that his assistant was looking at his Yue!

Jin stared at Wen coldly. Menacing aura was drifting towards him that he broke out in cold sweat. He stopped looking around and just focused on his meal.

After dinner, Wen went back to his office right away, refusing to see his Master. He felt that he would kill him anytime. He must have seen him looking at Qiuyue but what's there to get mad about!

'Ah... Ahhh! He must be mad because he thought I like Miss Yue! That's it! That must be it!' Wen laughed hysterically at his discovery.

Huan was accompanied then back to his room by Li Ling. He also liked to study a bit before sleeping. He really enjoyed studying! He was determined to do his best for his elder sister!
