When he reached the door of her room, he saw Li Mei. Li Mei hastily bowed and welcomed her Master back.
"Hm. She's inside?" He asked. Li Mei nodded. Jin waved his hand dismissing her. She wanted to say something but held herself back. She wanted to say that Qiuyue asked her to not be disturbed during this time at all. Even if it was Huan. However, this was different. She may be Qiuyue's maid and she took orders from her but the true Master of the house was Song Jin. Her livelihood was dependent on this man! She can only leave quietly. She will just apologise to her Miss after this.
When Li Mei left, Jin silently opened the door, walked inside and closed it. When he looked at Qiuyue, he was stunned. Completely stunned.
Qiuyue was practicing a sword skill. Because she shut off her senses, she did not notice that someone had entered the room already.
Jin just stared at her. Her black hair was waving behind her back, her facial expression was very still. No movement from her eyes, nose or lips can be seen at all. There was sweat all over her face and body but she did not seem to mind at all.
When he saw her body, his eyes darkened. Her tanned skin was already gone. Her overall complexion improved and red tints can be seen on her cheeks and some parts of her body. He also noticed big scars on her abdomen, left upper arm, left thigh and a much bigger one on her back. He already figured out in the hospital that they were sword slashes. Another change he saw was that she gained more flesh, not as thin as before.
The Qiuyue he was seeing right now was more attractive and beautiful! And that sexy curve and body... he had the urge to pounce on her and eat her! He can feel his inner beast awakening inside him. He needed to control it! Control it!
He focused on her movements. He thought they were very fluid. She was like dancing. He did not know what kind of swordsmanship she was practising though.
He wondered though. Why does she keep on honing her skills? Was it just to preserve it? Or was she planning to use it? What for?
He continued watching her. He was just leaning against the door. He knew best not to disturb her. He may not know swordsmanship but he knew different states of mind people can enter into. If one was disturbed, it may lead to deviation and potential harm to one's mind, body, etc.
He realised that his conjecture was right. Qiuyue was a source of comfort for him. His irritation and fatigue were washed away when he saw her. He felt relaxed and energised.
He checked his watch after a while. He had been watching her for 50 minutes now. 'Just how long does she practise? Just how long can she enter this state?'
After 5 minutes passed, it was now 5 o'clock. She stopped her movements. She was unmoved for a minute. Gradually, she withdrew her consciousness from that state. She put the sword back into the scabbard that was lying on her bed and planned to return it inside the drawer. She turned around and was utterly shocked that the sword fell from her hand too!
"Mr. Song!" She smiled brightly, like the sun that was gradually rising and sending warmth to all beings.
'You just noticed me now.' He chuckled.
He smiled back at her. He walked towards the shower room to get a robe. Qiuyue was confused by his action. However, when she saw him went out with a robe, she became totally shy that her cheeks were burning, her ears red. She also tried hiding the scars in her body.
Jin noticed what she did but he did not give her any reaction. He gently drape the robe on her back and helped her with it. After tying the belt, he picked up the sword.
"Mr... Mr. Song! I apologised for seeing me this way!" She did not want Mr. Song to hate her scars but she knew no man would ever like to see a woman with one, what more many of them!
Jin laughed softly. "Why should you apologise? The scars in your body tell a beautiful story and a part of your life. You should be proud of them."
She looked at him and saw him smiling. She was relieved. She was happy. His words were like the rays of the sun piercing her heart. Warm! His warmth filled her heart! "Thank you, Mr. Song. I am glad to see you return safely! Welcome back!"
He patted her. "Hm. You worked hard." Qiuyue laughed softly.
"Rest and wash up. I'll see you at dinner." He returned the sword to her. Qiuyue nodded. He then left the room.
When Jin was watching Qiuyue, Wen was listening to Head Butler Song's reports. He too, was surprised by Qiuyue's request of a German dictionary. He rubbed his chin. 'I wonder what Master will think of this.'
Dinner came. The guards and servants in the dining area were relieved to see their Master in a better mood. After dinner, Jin said a few words to the siblings before telling them to rest.

Wen relayed his filtered reports to Jin.
'No wonder, her body's condition improved quickly. Maybe, I should run in the morning too.'
As Wen continued reporting, a flash of light appeared in his eyes. 'German, huh.'
"Hm. Did they get the titles of the books she read?" He asked.
"No, Master. I will ask the Head Butler for the information." Wen replied.
"No need. I can ask her directly. Adjust my schedule one hour late starting tomorrow." Jin ordered. After which, he dismissed his assistant.
"Uwe." He called. A person appeared beside him. "How's the investigation?" He asked in German.
"The documents are being compiled right now. I will deliver them to you tomorrow." Uwe replied in German.
Jin waved his hand, dismissing the man.
He then stood from his chair and examined Qiuyue's table. He checked the first notebook from the neat pile. He flipped the cover and scanned the page. He saw the doodles at the upper part and then a list of names below.
— Wu Qiuyue, Wu Huan, Wu Shui, Wu Jingyi...
'Must be the names of her deceased fami...'
— Song Jin
Jin smiled upon seeing his name on the list. This meant that he held a special place in her heart.
'I wonder how long I can still hold back...'
He flipped to the next page and saw a list of random words. Jin easily identified why these were written. As he continued flipping the pages, he smiled once more. He noticed that the words she listed decreased in each page. He also figured out that she read a book about Housing Management based on the terms she had written down. However, he was not sure of the rest. He can ask her anyways.
As he flipped the pages, he stopped at one with German words. Now he was looking forward to conversing with her in this language. He closed the notebook assuming there was no more writings from her. However, that was where he was wrong.

Qiuyue was going to start her morning run when she saw a figure from afar approaching her. She narrowed her eyes to focus on it. When the figure got closer and she got a clearer view, her heart skipped a beat. It was Mr. Song in his full black workout outfit. She thought she looked very cool!
"Good morning, Miss Yue." He greeted.
"Good morning, Mr. Song." She bowed and greeted back.
"Where's your maid?" He asked. He assigned her maid to take care of her everytime. Why was she not around? He furrowed his brow.
"Mr. Song, I told Mei to not accompany me anymore since I can handle myself." She answered politely.
"Hm. I will accompany you instead." He said. It was better this way, he thought. He can have more time with her alone. Qiuyue smiled and nodded.
