In the Study, he asked Qiuyue to sit on the black couch. He poured her a cup of tea while he poured himself a glass of wine.
Qiuyue looked around and focused on the shelves. There were myriads of books she can read. Her eyes lit up when she found a book in German. She wanted to rush and grab the book but held her desire to do so. Jin grabbed a stool and put it before the low table.
"Do you like to read them?" He asked as he eyed the shelves. He then sat down the stool cross-legged. His left hand was cupping one side of his face, supporting it with his left elbow on his lap. His right hand was holding the wine glass.
Qiuyue watched his every movement and thought each was very elegant but what surprised her more was how carefree he was with his sitting position. It was completely different from when he was dressed in suit. Currently, he was wearing a white shirt, a black shorts, and a leather flip flops. His hair was down with messy bangs. She thought he really looked younger.
Jin arched an eyebrow upon seeing her stunned reaction. He felt smug inside. 'Found me handsome, eh.' He smiled that made her heart skip a beat.
"Miss Yue." He called out.
Qiuyue snapped out of her daze and looked down to calm her heart. She unconsciously touched her chest and took a deep breath. She faced him once more. "Yes, Mr. Song." She said truthfully.
"Hm. Feel free to read them then even when I am not around." He casually said.
Qiuyue smiled brightly at him. "Thank you, Mr. Song!"
"I will be gone for a week starting tomorrow. Your work will begin once I returned." He informed.
"Are there things that you wanted me to do when you are not around? I can also help with the household chores, Mr. Song." She offered. They were basically freeloading and she did not want to take advantage of the kindness given to them.
"Just focus on your health first. These three years had rendered your body weak. This made you easily exhausted and faint. Practice your writing and reading too. As for your brother, I will hire a tutor for him so he can start studying too." He explained.
"T... Tutor... for my brother?" Qiuyue didn't know what to think and say anymore.
"Hm. Didn't you want him to study?" He then took a sip from his wine glass.
Qiuyue felt that her heart will explode anytime soon. She was overwhelmed. This man, a stranger, had been showering them with warmth. And this warmth was enough to overwrite their three years of hardships and the coldness in her heart. Without her realising, a tear fell down her face. When Jin saw this, he jolted and rushed to her side. He patted her head. He put his wine glass down and sat beside her.
"T... Thank you." She said, her voice cracking. She drooped her head down. She wiped her tears with her hands but it just caused her to cry more.
Jin's eyes softened as she saw her break down in tears. He knew this girl had been acting tough and had been enduring for three years. All for her younger brother. He let her lean on his body and rub her back as she continued to cry.
Jin didn't know how long she had cried before she finally calmed down but he believed she cried for 10 or 15 minutes.
"Feeling better?" He asked.
She nodded. She looked at him. "Mr. Song, I do not know if I will be able to repay your kindness in this lifetime. However, I promise that I will do everything that you want me to do." Her eyes were full of determination.
He patted her head. "Remember your words." He smirked.
'Everything, huh. Not a bad deal.'
She held his hand that was patting her head and laughed. "Hehe. You are like my Father and my Brother. They would do this to me when I did a good job." She said as she patted her head with his hand.
Jin looked at her face. He liked this expression of hers. He glanced at her parted lips. His eyes darkened.
"Miss Yue." He called. She looked at him. "I am not going to be your Father or your Brother." He said coldly.
Qiuyue trembled and retracted her hands. She also backed away from him creating a distance between them. Jin retracted his hand. "Mr... Mr. Song, I didn't mean that. I am sorry. I am truly so—" She apologised profusely. She looked down, feeling worried. She was afraid he will not do what he said anymore especially hiring a tutor for her brother.
He knew she misunderstood what he said. He patted her head once more interrupting her. "I know. I am not going to be your Father or Brother but I can pat your head whenever you did a good job." He cleared her confusion. She abruptly looked at him. "Hm." He smiled.
Her heart skipped a beat once more. His smile was very mesmerising. She smiled brightly in return and nodded.
Jin quickly got the glass wine and took a sip to look away from her. He was afraid he will not be able to control himself.
"I will inform the Head Butler about your free access here. If you need anything else, just let him know. Go, rest now." He instructed.
Qiuyue stood up and bowed. "Mr. Song, thank you again. Goodnight to you."
He just waved his hand. Qiuyue left the room then. After she disappeared, he breathed a sigh of relief.
Qiuyue returned to her room and saw his brother sleeping already. When she checked the time, it was already past 9 o'clock. She quickly changed into her pyjama and lied down beside him.
She was staring at the ceiling. She recalled all the things that had happened today. It still felt surreal. She pinched her cheeks. The pain was real. The warmth in her heart was real as well. She was determined to do everything for her little brother and for Mr. Song.
Since Mr. Song had handled the matter concerning her brother's education, she can now focused on doing her job. Once she paid their debts through working and earned money for herself, she will leave H City. She will visit the other cities to find information on the only clue she got about the tragedy three years ago that killed all of her clan members.
She took a deep breath. She glanced at Huan, caressed his cheek and smiled. She closed her eyes.

They woke up around 7 o'clock the next day. The siblings felt more refreshed. They felt that it was their first time sleeping soundly and long. When they were still living in the housing, they would always wake up around 4 o'clock no matter how late they slept.
A knock was heard by them after a short while. The door opened and two maids came in and greeted them. "Young Master Huan, please follow me to your room to help you wash up."
Huan looked at Qiuyue. "Remember what I told you. Go." She reminded. Huan nodded and followed the maid.
"Young Miss Yue, let me help you wash up." Qiuyue nodded.
"Did Mr. Song leave already?" She asked as she got out the bed. She helped the maid tidy up the bed.
"Young Miss, you do not need to help me. This is my job!" The maid worrily said.
"What's your name?" Qiuyue asked ignoring the maid's reminder.
"Young Miss, my name is Li Mei." She said.
"Hm. Li Mei, it is okay. I like to help. So did Mr. Song leave already?" She asked once more.
"Young Miss, Master Song had left at 6 am. He told us not to disturb your sleep just to send him off." She replied.
Qiuyue frowned. She wanted to send him off. It was the least she can do and besides, she will not see him for a week.
"Li Mei, if Mr. Song had to leave again for a week or so, please wake me up, okay?" She requested.
"But why, Young Miss? Master Song will reprimand me for doing that." Li Mei did not want to follow her order. If her Master found this out, he may fire her.
She laughed softly. "Don't worry. I will make sure he will not do that. Li Mei, I and my brother can only live comfortably now because of Mr. Song's kindness. Even if sending him off is a small matter, I still want to do it for him. I want to repay his favour in every possible way and not take him for granted."
Li Mei nodded. "I understand, Young Miss."
"Thank you, Li Mei. I will rely on you during my stay here." She smiled.
