...Taehyung's POV...

Every morning as the first light of dawn breaks through the cracks of my tiny room, I brace myself for another day. The walls are this and the sounds of the bustling city seeps in, a constant reminder of the life, I strive to escape.

...Author's POV...

Taehyung comes from a family that knows the sting of poverty all too well. His parents work tirelessly but the weight of bills and responsibilities often feel too heavy for their weary shoulders. He has learned that they can't afford even the smallest luxuries, so he has taken it upon himself to contribute - no matter how insignificant his efforts may seen.

He starts his day by picking up garbage from house to house, a task that many wouldn't dare to do. But for him, it offers a sense of purpose. As he walks the streets, the scent of refuse mingles with the aroma of freshly made bread from a nearby bakery. He can't help but feel a pang of envy wash over him. He sees families enjoying their breakfasts, their laughter echoing down the street making him remember the weight on his shoulder and his family struggles. He smiles. The smile, the kindness are like his armor to cope up with the harsh reality.

After picking up the garbage from house to house, he cleans the dirty roadside wall, scrubbing away the grime that clings to the city like a ghost. With each stroke of his brush, he imagines a brighter future for him and his family. The future where they don't have to worry about the next meal.

...Back to the present time...

He is cleaning the channel of the centre of the road where the water and garbage are collected. After long hours of cleaning, he looks tired but can't get rest because the garbage will start collecting again. He sighed and sat down on the ground and took a deep breath. A man, who looks so wealthy, was passing by the road."Hey! Get up from the public road! You dirty hobo!", the man showed his disgusted face.

Taehyung looked at the man but didn't say anything. He started cleaning again. The man couldn't tolerate this attitude. It triggered his "rich man ego". "You idiot! Didn't your parents teach you manners? How could they? They must be miserable. Such a waste to society. Your presence is like a stain in the beautiful city".

Taehyung didn't reply. Sometimes he thinks the same. He thought it again. His situation is miserable. The dirty clothes, the pungent smell from him due to the cleaning of dirt, his dirty hands, face. He felt so small.

Seeing Taehyung is ignoring him again, the man got angry and steps on his foot. Taehyung couldn't scream. He looked at the ground. When the man left, he quietly rubbed his foot. He felt like crying but he kept his tears inside. Because he already cries enough, everyday.

After cleaning up the lanes, he went to a nearby park. It is an abandoned place. It used to be an amusement park in Taehyung's childhood. Now the old, broken, rusty marry go round reminds him of his life. As he sat on a rusty swing, he got deep thoughts and his eyes filled with water.

He can remember his childhood when his parents were happy. Money was tight but still everything was perfect. They loved each other so much. The time he used to laugh heartily with his parents. But now he can't remember how a sincere happy smile looks like. He has no choice but live in the present and in a very miserable way.

"Are you somehow lost, dear?"
