Episode 4: Cracks in the Facade
---
Scene: The Min Mansion – Evening.
Jimin sat in her room, the weight of Yoongi’s accusations crushing her. The photo and false story had spread through social media, leaving her unable to escape the whispers and judgment. Despite her innocence, she couldn’t prove otherwise.
Jimin: (thinking) Why is this happening? Who would go to such lengths to ruin my name?
A soft knock on the door startled her. The housekeeper entered, holding a tray with a cup of tea.
Housekeeper: (kindly) "Miss Jimin, you haven’t eaten all day. I thought this might help."
Jimin forced a weak smile, her voice barely above a whisper.
Jimin: "Thank you, Mrs. Kang. You’re very kind."
The housekeeper hesitated, then spoke softly.
Housekeeper: "You’re a good person, Miss Jimin. Don’t let anyone make you doubt that."
As the housekeeper left, Jimin clutched the warm cup in her hands, her resolve hardening.
Jimin: (thinking) I’ll prove my innocence, no matter what it takes.

Scene: Yoongi’s Office – Late Night.
Yoongi sat at his desk, surrounded by work he couldn’t focus on. His thoughts kept returning to Jimin’s tearful face and Liza’s convincing words.
Yoongi: (thinking) Why do I care? She’s nothing to me… right?
A knock interrupted his thoughts. His assistant entered, holding a thick folder.
Assistant: "Sir, these are the documents you requested about the recent donation controversies."
Yoongi took the folder, flipping through it absentmindedly. Then something caught his eye—a report about donations made to the shelter Jimin volunteered at. Everything was accounted for, and there was no sign of misuse.
His brow furrowed.
Yoongi: (to himself) "This doesn’t add up."
---
Scene: Liza’s Penthouse – The Next Morning.
Liza lounged on her plush sofa, a glass of champagne in hand. Her phone buzzed with a text from her accomplice.
“He’s starting to dig. Be careful.”
Liza smirked, unconcerned.
Liza: (to herself) "Let him dig. By the time he finds the truth, it’ll be too late."
She took a sip of champagne, already planning her next move.
---
Scene: The Shelter.
Jimin returned to the children’s shelter, desperate to find some normalcy. The staff welcomed her warmly, but the lingering stares from visitors reminded her of the scandal.
As she was helping a little girl with her drawing, a familiar voice called out behind her.
Yoongi: "Jimin."
She froze, her heart pounding. Slowly, she turned to face him.
Jimin: (nervously) "What are you doing here?"
Yoongi’s expression was unreadable, but there was no anger in his eyes this time.
Yoongi: "I came to see for myself."
Jimin’s brows furrowed in confusion.
Jimin: "See what?"
He gestured around the shelter.
Yoongi: "Whether this place is what you claim it to be. Whether you are what you claim to be."
Jimin’s lips parted, but she didn’t know how to respond. Instead, she turned back to the little girl, helping her finish the drawing.
Yoongi watched in silence, his mind battling his emotions.

Scene: That Night – The Min Mansion.
Back at the mansion, Yoongi sat in the living room, deep in thought. For the first time, doubt crept into his mind about Liza’s accusations.
Jimin entered hesitantly, carrying a tray of tea.
Jimin: (softly) "I thought you might want something warm."
Yoongi looked up, surprised by her gesture.
Yoongi: (gruffly) "You don’t have to do that."
Jimin: (calmly) "I know. But I wanted to."
She placed the tray on the table and turned to leave, but Yoongi’s voice stopped her.
Yoongi: "Jimin."
She turned back, her eyes wide.
Yoongi: (hesitant) "Why do you care so much about those kids? You don’t even have to work there."
Jimin walked closer, her gaze steady.
Jimin: "Because they need someone to believe in them. Someone to show them they matter. Isn’t that what everyone deserves?"
Her words lingered in the air, and for the first time, Yoongi saw a glimpse of the woman she truly was.
---
Scene: Liza’s Plan Unravels.
Liza met with her accomplice in a secluded café.
Liza: (whispering) "I need you to escalate things. Plant more evidence if you have to. I can’t let Jimin win."
The accomplice hesitated.
Accomplice: "Yoongi’s already suspicious. If he finds out you’re behind this—"
Liza: (cutting him off) "He won’t. Just do your job."

Scene: Yoongi Investigates.
Later that week, Yoongi sat in his car outside a private investigator’s office. He had handed over the false evidence Liza had given him, asking for a full analysis.
As he waited, his phone buzzed with a call from Liza.
Liza: (sweetly) "Yoongi, darling, I was thinking we could have dinner tonight. Just the two of us."
Yoongi’s grip on the phone tightened.
Yoongi: (coldly) "I’m busy."
He hung up, his patience with her beginning to wear thin.
Moments later, the investigator returned with a file.
Investigator: "The documents are fake, Mr. Min. Whoever created them went to great lengths, but it’s not real."
Yoongi’s heart sank, a mix of anger and guilt washing over him.

Scene: Jimin’s Room – Late Night.
Jimin sat by the window, staring out at the moonlit garden. Her thoughts were interrupted by a knock at the door.
Jimin: (softly) "Come in."
To her surprise, Yoongi entered, his expression conflicted.
Yoongi: "I need to talk to you."
Jimin stood, wary of his tone.
Jimin: "What is it?"
Yoongi hesitated, then spoke.
Yoongi: (quietly) "I might have been wrong about you."
Jimin’s eyes widened, but before she could respond, he turned and left the room, leaving her stunned.
