Su Wan woke up this time still in thought about the promise made to the second male lead.

The character setting of the novel started to come to memory, he was a diligent, determined and stubborn person who was solely goal oriented and that's the major reason why he was just the second male lead who was doomed to a life of regret after gaining everything just to lose something that was more important.

i honestly really liked him in the book because you could see that he had a pure heart to always protect her from the insults of nobles but that doesn't mean i want to have anything to do with him now.

The Duke is in a precarious situation as it is with the royal family, it's no secret that the Duke of the North is always someone who is the closest to the line of succession for the throne and that's why they are shipped far away from the capital so that they wouldn't have the ability to form connections with the nobility but the advantage that they have is with the common people of the country's.

The tales of their military exploits coupled with the sate of the citizens of the north make him a hero to all the people so the royal family has to keep up appearances with them.

"Miss, you have a guest" i heard a maid say distracting me from my thoughts

"who is it" i asked tentatively, I'm still not ready to meet the Duke just yet

" Why are you asking, thinking about the duke" i heard Mari say as she was brushing my hair.

This girl has a lot of weird stuff going on in her head that i don't even want to begin with

"it is from the magic tower" the maid said not paying attention to Mari

" Arrange him in the waiting room while i prepare" i said urging them to be fast in taking care of me while slightly relieved that it wasn't him....yet.

" what do i owe this pleasure" i said sitting across from the wizard, i heard a disappointed sigh from behind me but i ignored her

" I've merely come to see if the rumors were true"

"And what rumors would that be, since I've been the center of idle gossip for a long time now " i asked him.

" It seems that you have changed over night" he said studying me

"I merely reflected on my past actions and repented of my misbehaviors" i said calmly

" If you don't mind then i would like to request a more reliable source" he said smiling. This damn old geezer is subtly threatening me into it, if i refuse then that means that something shady is going on but i don't like the feeling of being manipulated

"I have nothing to hide so feel free to use any method" any way transmigration is not something that could easily be discovered anyway

he bought out an orb then made me place my hand on it

" Are you plotting the harm of the crown prince either physically or mentally"

"no" i said, honestly annoyed at being tied to that trash

I was in shock, this wasn't mentioned in the book i read so how is it appearing now. It can't be as a result of butterfly affect because i haven't been in this world for that long or at least not enough to cause a consequence so big.

He even asked if i was involved because i had a change of behavior, does that mean that transmigrators have been associated with them in the past or was he grasping at straws in hopes of finding a lead.

Wait, why am I even worried about this since it shouldn't have anything to do with me, but just to be sure i should try to remember the major events that happened in the book that i read.

"Miss you have a letter from a Mr. John" i had decided to spend the rest of the day at home to calm down and remember the plot when i received the letter.

I'm quite embarrassed to say this but i honestly forgot about the shop that i had built but in my defense I've seem to become entangled in a lot of things but of course it isn't an excuse for neglect.

The letter stated of an urgent matter that requires the owner of the shop which he said has had considerable growth from it's start but it's not on a very large scale, well it's something so I'm satisfied besides a rich woman like me can easily provide for their family for the rest of their lives.

" Change of plans, I'm going out" I said to the maids so that after a few minutes; I was already on a carriage to the shop

"I think I want to be a wizard" i heard Mari say.

" If you have the aptitude then why not" I said not taking her seriously

"But I want to stay with the miss always too" she said sounding distressed

"Then figure it out yourself" I said waving my hand as we came down the carriage.
