The banquet

Su Wan called for the best tailor in the capital and designed the dress herself shocking the man with her design until he became her fan. Su Wan felt bad to be treated like a genius when she just copied a design from her past life and combined it with the dresses of this era.

The day of the banquet had a lot of prepping to do starting with waking up early to rigorous bath treatment, fitting into the dress then finally make up.

The maids clamored how pretty I was and I have to agree with them. If not for that trashy crown prince then I won't have to worry in this life with just my looks alone.

"Miss is taking us with you right" Mari said her eyes bright.

Su Wan was exasperated with this funny maid and her odd behavior. If I wasn't sure she was a servant then I would have thought of her too be from the modern world too because she has the spirit of a melon eater.

We boarded the carriage and I made sure that I was at least one hour late so that he would have to enter by himself.

Su Wan just remembered that if she entered alone then she might be taken by that trash or gossiped about by the other ladies as an attention seeker again but where would she find someone to go with her with the type of reputation that she has.

"Miss there seems to be a problem up front" the Coachman said as they stopped close to the banquet.

Su Wan came out to see what the problem was and saw that a group of men were trying to enter but were refused. Su Wan stared curiously at the mam that seems to be in charge feeling he was a little familiar but also very handsome with his black hair and blue eyes.

"Let them through, they're with me" Su Wan said walking up to the argument.

They all turned to her curiously but she ignored them and walked up to the handsome man that was dressed the most lavish out of all of them, he seems to be a Duke.

"But miss, it's guest only" the servant said

"Do you think you can stop me if I decide not to abide by the rules" Su Wan said channeling her best villainess aura as her sharp gaze glared at the servant.

He started to sweat and hurriedly bowed out of the way. That was a wise choice since my family basically represented the wealth of the empire with authority on par with the royal family.

"Thank you for helping" the handsome man said examining her.

"If you really want to thank me then would you be so kind to escort me inside" Su Wan said shamelessly

"The lady doesn't have a partner," he asked in a questioning tone

"My partner is trash I don't wish to be associated with" Su Wan said in a disgusted tone. She wrapped her arms around him before he could try to dissuade her again and urged him inside with a playful expression.

There was no announcement since the prince had already entered but it didn't stop everyone from turning to face us once the door was open. The hall instantly became lively and Su Wan saw that trash glaring at her which made her smile brighter. Serves him right for not listening to me.

" I don't seem to know the name of my partner" Su Wan said turning to the man beside her in a playful tone

"Duke Armon Sylver" he said smiling at her.

Su Wan seems to have heard that name before. It seems like I've read that name before.... Ah isn't that the second male lead who was the Duke of the north. The story was that he came to the capital for the first time but he wasn't allowed to bring his group of soldiers almost missing the ball. The female lead saw them on her way out to change her dress after my scene then snuck them inside reaping good feelings from him.

"What are you doing" the crown prince said walking forward to question her but Su Wan ignored him completely.

"Would you like to dance" she said to the Duke dragging him to the center.

"It seems I'm your shield for the night" he said chuckling

"A very handsome one too" Su Wan said winking at him while he was shocked.

"I demand you to dance with me as your fiance" the crown prince said after the first dance with the Duke grabbing her hand but in the process of Su Wan yanking her arm away; she hit the person behind her.

The sound of a soft voice yelping was heard and Su Wan turned to see a soft beauty dressed as a maid falling on the ground with a tray at her feet and her dress soaked.

"I'm sorry" she hurriedly stood up bowing at them with tears in the corner of her eyes watching the two men.

"See what you did. Must you always make a scene" the crown prince said glaring at Su Wan

"First of all, this was your doing because you assaulted me and second you are the one who is causing a scene here, your highness" Su Wan said calmly.

"It really was my fault. Please don't blame the miss" the beauty said in a small voice then she made an expression of pain again

"Sorry I twisted my ankle" she said sheepishly at her yelp of pain

"Why don't you take care of her since it was your fault" Su Wan said wanting to send the male and female lead away quickly so that she could have peace if mind.

"You better not run away" he said walking away with the maid behind him.

Jokes on you, I'm definitely going to leave before you get back now.

After that episode, people began to slowly gather around to compliment my dress. They seemed to be fishing for gossip too at my new behavior but I just kept being vague about it.

The drama was spot on from the beginning but I couldn't enjoy it for very long because I wanted to talk to Derrick who looked exactly like Derrick I knew.

"So how did you do it" I asked him curiously.
