...the last thing he heard

Payu walked alone in the rain, the droplets falling around him like tears from the sky. He didn't notice the rain, didn't feel it seeping into his bones. He was numb, lost in thought.

His mind wandered back to his friend, to the memories they had shared, to the laughter and the tears. He thought of the day his friend was taken from him, of the pain and the anguish that had followed. The rain fell harder, drumming against the pavement, but Payu didn't flinch. He walked on, his feet carrying him forward even as his heart remained stuck in the past.He walked for hours, the rain soaking through his clothes, his hair plastered to his face. But he didn't stop, didn't slow down. He just kept walking, lost in the storm, lost in his thoughts...

As Payu walked, he couldn't shake off the feeling that he was being watched. He glanced over his shoulder, but saw nothing but the rain-soaked streets. He quickened his pace, his heart racing with every step. His abusive dad and the killer could be anywhere, waiting for their chance to strike.

Payu's eyes scanned the crowds, searching for a familiar face. But everyone seemed like a stranger, a potential threat. He ducked into a nearby alleyway, using the shadows to conceal himself. For a moment, he just stood there, listening to the sound of his own heartbeat. But he knew he couldn't stay hidden forever. He had to keep moving, had to find a way to clear his name and bring the real killer to justice. With a deep breath, Payu stepped back out into the rain, his eyes scanning the streets for any sign of danger...

Not long, while it was raining more heavily, and everyone was rushing to get out of it, Payu felt a sharp pain in his chest and lower side of abdomen. He... got... stabbed.

Payu turned, trying to see who had attacked him, but his vision was already blurry. He caught a glimpse of a figure disappearing into the crowd, but it was just a fleeting image. He tried to take a step forward, but his legs gave way beneath him. Payu fell to the ground, his body hitting the wet pavement with a sickening thud.

The rain poured down around him, mixing with the blood that seeped from his wounds. People rushed past him, umbrellas and raincoats shielding them from the storm.

Payu's vision faded to black, and he lay there, alone and unmoving. The sound of raindrops hitting the pavement was the last thing he heard. As the minutes ticked by, the crowd continued to rush past him, oblivious to his suffering. The rain showed no signs of letting up, and Payu's body grew colder, his life slipping away.

Just as all hopes seemed lost, a figure emerged from the crowd. A young woman, soaked to the bone, rushed towards Payu's lifeless body. She dropped to her knees beside him, her eyes wide with horror."Someone, help!" she screamed, but her voice was drowned out by the sound of the rain. She looked down at Payu, her eyes filled with tears. She took his hand in hers, and for a moment, just held it, willing him to stay alive...
