Chapter 11 : The Meeting

The carriage stopped. That's why I didn't get to ask but a question came to my mind.

How did they knew that my mother was dead ?! They didn't know the whereabouts of my parents, so how?

Well, I will ask next time. Let's get to the business at hand.

It was an alley. A short wooden door. I looked up. It says "Last Drop" with a picture of mug. I understand, it's a tavern. It sounds noisy inside. This Sir Alistair, why would he brings a child in this kind of place! Is he mad .

"Stay close to me." He said.

"But Sir wouldn't it be better if you bring him out and then we meet ?"

" Bringing him out is the toughest part, and I need you for that. "

I didn’t understand what he mean by that. Isn't he overly confident in my ability !

We entered. It's crowded. And some people were fighting. Actually they were beating a person and that man wasn't even defending himself.

"Excuse us, but we need to have a talk with him." Sir Alistair said in a loud voice.

Everyone looked at him. They stopped shouting and started murmuring.

But the person who was getting beaten up didn't even move . I think he is too drunk to even understand what's going on or feel the pain of getting beaten up.

By the order of the tavern owner two people brought water and put on him. To wake him up I guess. And well, it worked.

They put him on a chair at a corner , beside a half broken table. Sir Alistair sat opposite of him.

He opened his eyes and looked at Sir Alistair, and said,

" Oh, Chief ! Long time no see ."

Sir Alistair sighed , " Aren't you coming back Christopher ? "

He replied quickly, "Nah, never. I'm fine with special requests now. "

Sir Alistair said, " But I wanted you to train someone. "

He looked surprised, " I am on the move all the times because of the works. So I won't have the time to do that.

And anyway, don't we have training halls under every knight squads!”

Sir Alistair replied, " That person isn't old enough to be a trainee."

Christopher said, " Then we have academy, "

Sir Alistair said , " The identity cannot be revealed . "

Christopher asked, " Why so much secrecy and why me as a trainer?”

Sir Alistair said, " Why don't you meet her before so that you have less questions. "

I was standing right beside him, but the table was hiding me from his eyes I guess.

So he didn't realized that some kid is standing there.

And anyway, no one would ever think of seeing a child at a tavern. So it's totally understandable .

I came in front and stand on tiptoe. Now I can see him and he can see me as well. Looking at his dusty silver black hair , I think he should have some magic power .

I smiled and said, " Hello sir. "

His eyes got bigger with surprise , " Lian !"

Sir Alistair replied to him , " It's not Iliana , it's her daughter Anastasia Siera .
